He was doing waaayyyy too much for me, he took the feeling out of the song for me. Some songs doesn't require a lot of runs/adlibs. Didn't like the key he was playing in either. They didn't blend well together, Jessica was sticking more to the original, while he was doing his own take on it. I did however enjoy Jessica part.

@Gyver I don't think I need to know who he is. My comment is for this cover alone. That doesn't make him any less of an artist. I'm saying that for this one, his style didn't work.

personally i think they both did, tho Jessica Sanchez started out much more subtle. It seemed like once the dude had the mic, it became a competition of who can do more runs. This led to some pitchy moments and a less dynamic duet. My only pet peeve with Jessica is that she didn't learn the lyrics so she seemed more disengaged. I did prefer the guitar player's initial intro to the song + I think he could really benefit from a vocal coach, so that he can gain a bit more control over his voice. Some singers use runs in a song to disguise certain things: for e.g. they might use a run on a note that they struggle to hit. Runs are fun but can be a cop out.
