This was done on modified ROM so that I could jump to a particular level. It was the only way I could memorize the levels easily. It would take too long to try the 9th key or the kill screen on a real machine. As I do have a Pac-Man arcade machine, it's cool. I did change the text at the top to indicate this: "L00" means start at level 1, "P3" means 3 Pac-Men and "B10" mean bonus Pac-man at 10,000 points. These last 2 are dip switch settings. These all were hard coded into the ROM.

I'm like, there's no way he's gonna catch all four ghost each time, especially in these later levels, when they start flashing as soon as you get a power pellet. Goddammit, he did it again. 🙃 - Ziro out.

1st gumdrop is the same 2 second pattern as 1st apple, 1st grape and 2nd grape. Without getting into an explanation of how it was codes in assembly, I can tell you the settings on these 4 are the same. So just learn the 1st apple and all 4 will work.

Back in the day, we called this the 'bell'. You don't eat bells. That doesn't even make sense. However, it's really a yellow gumdrop. What did you used (or do) call it?

See, the problem with that is that you also eat a Galaxian Starship and a literal Key - it kinda contradicts that statement. It's also officially referred to as a bell by the designers and was redrawn to look at a different angle in games like Super Pac-Man

@@greenknight9000 The key is the key to the candy case. The candy is locked up, so you need a key to get to it. As far as the The Galaxian goes, it was obviously from Galaxian but let's just say it is a candy marshmallow. OK, I'm stretching there, but as a kid I always thought that was kind of cool.
