I love uncle funkys daughter but have to top it with wet line to get that extra hold. I’m going to try this instead of wet line. I hope it’s strong enough and that it works well the curly magic. I prefer something a little more natural.

Ok RaeRae. I purchased and used the products. You were spot on. Amazing moisture with CR, and amazing curl and hold with AN. However I got white film on my coils. Especially in the back. Perhaps I used too much product?

Beautiful hair! Do you find that certain gels lead to more breakage when you wash your hair? For me, when I use wetline gel and wash it out I get a lot of breakage. But, when I use the just a jello shot, I don't get much breakage.

I feel I get more shedding/tangles, which can lead to breakage, when I use softer hold gels that give me the shingled look. I don't feel like I get a lot of tangles or shedding when I use gels that clump my hair. But that's just me; my hair strands are thick and can take more. Everyone's hair is different so if you notice that, then I would act accordingly. Use products that you feel don't damage your hair. Thanks for the question.

Can you list the first 6 ingredients for the CR butter that you have? I just purchased it from Target, and after looking on CR’s site, the ingredients are completely different!

I'm using the Curlaide Moisture Butter, not the Almond Jai Twisiting Butter; so check that first. If you do have the Curlaide, then my first 6 ingredients are: water, rice milk, BTMS, cetearyl alcohol, coconut oil and shea butter. I hope this helps.

A lot of people like UFD Curly magic as a primer for harder holding gels. You may try that and see if it works for you.

It should. Put a little of all three in your hands and see if they mix well. Put more gel than the other two.

I wash every 4 days, so it lasted at least that long. I believe it would have lasted longer, but I don't stretch my wash and gos to 7 days because I don't think that's the best thing for my hair.
