Perfect Self Motor Spoiled because of Negligence

Here in this video i opened an old self motor which is spoiled because of cheap quality carbon brush and carbon brush spring.
Generally these self motor or starter motor have very good built quality and can last for years and years. A proper and careful replacement of worn out carbon brush can make the defective self motor as good as new. But in this self motor of Honda Unicorn somebody installed a bad quality carbon brush and stiffness of new spring was very high as a result it corroded the commutator of the Armature in very worse way. The self motor was handled very badly. There were lots of hammer mark on the body of Starter motor.

Indian mechanics ki sabse badi problem hai ki unke pass skill toh hai but wo uska proper use nahi karte. Har kaam ho jaldi aur temporary niptane ki koshish karte hai. Unko is baat se bilkul farak nahi padta ki future me unke us kaam se kitna nuksaan ho sakta hai. Bahar ki countries jaise America me mechanics proper set of procedure aur systematically kaam karte hai. Wo har cheez ke standards aur guideline ko follow karte hai.

Bhai unnecessary 2000 ka kharcha aa gaaya. 60-70 mai nipat jaata. Completely spoil kaar diya hai.

Bhai vo screw ka head toota huva he,iss same situation mera saath bhi huva aur negative brush ko jugaad karna pada. The exact same issue of broken negative brush screw head was said in comments in a previous video by someone and this seems to be a common issue while changing carbon brush as now its atleast 3 exactly same broken negative screw on same motor (my case,comments case,this motor case).All three screws broke exactly at head area. In my case,While changing carbon brushes,the small screw of Negative brush broke off instantly just as i tried to remove with screwdriver.It felt like a flake of corroded metal falling off.Removing that tiny remaining screw piece and finding a replacement was extremely difficult,so had to do the jugad.Exteneded the negative brush wire using same guage copper wire to reach the other screw and made sure it doesn't touch on the shaft or moviing parts.And the motor is working fine so far.

I have same problem with my bike's starter motor, but wear out is more deeper than this honda's one. My bike is bajaj platina 125, but starer motor is same mitsuba exept the mounting brecket.

Meri bike ka commutator kaafi wear ho Chuka hai, 3 months pehle self stop working tab Maine carbon brushes change karaye the then now it again stopped working ! Self work nahi karne ke Kya reasons ho.sakte Hain ?

i have installed new varroc self carbon on my hero pleasure,still self wil run accasionally,new battery also.mechanic tells me to replace motor but motor is working when connecting with battery.is cdi to blame?

Yes, sometimes defective CDI creates such problem. First check all the wires and relay. Finally you can blame cdi. Always go for genuine CDI. Must veryfy the code.

@@selfrepairguruji It has AC Cdi. it is not avliable,but Varroc activa old model has same pinouts.OEM is NIPPON CDI but is not avliable now.Will i go for varroc ???

Agaar jayda damage ho gaaya hai to better hai complete assembly replace kijiyai for complete Peace of mind. But suppose aap money save kaarna chahatai hain to commutator bhi alaag se aata hai ya phir Armature assembly bhi aapko mil jayegga.
