Honestly I was looking at this combo before the video and just ordered a bell super DH and soon to get the raptor. So glad I found a video which revived them both together. Thank you!

Such an amazing detailed review on both of these. Thank you Adam - I can’t thank you enough!

They're such a great combo! I love the Bell Super DH, it's incredibly comfortable. Especially once you adjust that somewhat hidden height feature under the padding. And the Raptor 14 is well worth the extra $10 over the raptor 10 to be able to carry the jawbone. Let me know what you think when you get them! ✌🏼🤟🏼

That's awesome! It's interesting how many things aren't explained about gear when you buy it.

Nice to see someone who wore/tested the helmet long enough to learn how tto take the chin guard on and off first before giving it a review and saying it's hard to do... :)

Ok, you convinced me... I was torn on buying this (expensive) bag but I share the same ideology. "When your wants and needs collide, go get it".

You're living life right! Great bag and that price point lasts a lifetime with Osprey's warranty. ✌🏼🤟🏼

what is the size of your bell helmet? is it snug fit? thanks!
@AdamMock4 жыл бұрын
Hey RJ, I have a Medium Bell Super DH. If it helps here are my head measurements so you can compare to yours: 22.5 inches 51.7cm 7 1/8 Hat Size It's a snug fit that you can really dial in. The retention dial in the back helps secure it and you can adjust the height at which the helmet sits on your head by adjusting that somewhat hidden area at the top of the helmet under the velcro. If you're looking for a great convertible helmet, this is a good one. If you're curious about an enduro full face (not convertible) check out the TLD Stage. ✌🏼🤟🏼

Where did you get the white one I can’t find it anywhere
@AdamMock4 жыл бұрын
Hey Deanna, I got mine from Backcountry almost a year ago. With so many people getting on bikes now, it might be hard to find. I just did a quick search and can't find a black and white one either.

Great review, thank you for doing it. I'm trying to decide between the Super DH and Super Air R, do you have any experience or thoughts between those two? I have a Troy Lee D3 for situations I want a full DH rated helmet so that isn't an issue. I appreciate your input. Liked and Sub'd man, keep up the great work.

Thanks for the support Helimoto, much appreciated! Unfortunately I don't have any experience with the Super Air R. My understanding is that the Super Air R is much lighter than the DH and is more breathable. Also looks like your ability to hear might be better with it since the ears aren't fully covered. However it's not DH rated like the Super DH. I'm really impressed with the overall feel of the Super DH. You can really get it dialed in and feels very protective. I recently picked up a TLD Stage helmet and have been equally impressed with that as well. Although you can't remove the jawbone, it's so incredibly light and breathable that it feels like a trail helmet on your head, but offers the added full face protection of an enduro helmet with a DH rating. I wore it on a hot and sunny climb and never needed to remove it.
