Did you know that you can use this technique for many other parts of your game, like enemy A.I.s or any other kind of objects. Unity themselves even suggest to remove any empty Update Method in your MonoBheaviours. This means something!

True but it’s complicated. The real performance talks might be found on conference when studios share their knowledge. Often that kind of details is locked behind NDAs. So we are left with indies sharing their experiences :D

Just found your channel, Awesome stuff! but Why looping x times in a loop is better than running the same loop x times?

Thanks! It is small, but Monobehaviour methods, like Update() are not cheap. Unity even suggests to remove empty Update() methods if you don't use them. I find it silly but that's how it is. from what I understood, behind the scenes, there are some calls going into native code. I am not an expert on this, but there are numerous methods in Unity that are there to avoid going to native code, like Transform.GetPositionAndRotation for example. So by that statement I really meant that looping in Update is not as bad as one might think.
