Another note. You can buy 3" double wall chimney and to replace/extend the chimney depending on your install. I wanted a little more insulation between the chimney and my Kodiak tent and needed it to rise well above the roof. This did the trick.

The fire box is zinc galvanized coated which will gas off when burned at over 360 degrees. Anyone who buys one of these should first get a fire going as hot as you can outside to burn off the galvanized coating before putting it indoors.

Except that isn't true at all. It isn't coated with zink. It is coated with an uncured wood stove paint that off gasses as it cures. No zinc involved.

Mine didn't have the manual by some fluke.... I couldn't breathe right for like 5 months and still kinda feel weak lunged... could barely breathe at all for the first month....be careful with the off gas man!

I have the larger, outdoor woodstove, which is identical to that one, but bigger and, I have it in my 16' bell tent. These work amazingly!!! I can even use mine to heat my house, from our basement, during a power outage and, it works great. Easy to cook a full meal on, too!! Simply a great product for a great price.

I would add fire bricks to line the bottom of the firebox. Too much creosote is from burning lumber instead of seasoned timber. Just take the pipe off, stand it in a barrel, and, bang it. Regular maintenance.

Really nice! I want one to burn limbs and such in. I would rub it down with crisco and let it burn until it quit smoking to retard any rust. Same as I do my cast iron pans.

NOITE: If you would have placed the first ring to that chimney down from the top instead of the bottom before bolting it you could have installed the chimney sections so that there would not be any drips coming down outside of the pipe. Depenmds on the very last flame arrester onthe top if it fits or not.

Going to be strap to it feeding it ~ I got a big wood stove, i have to feed it about every 6 hours! Takes 12 hour for the coals to burn out. That a lot of wood to chop> and it will go threw it a pile FAST ~ Setting the dampers, and front air flow in front, it sounds like a rocket stove. It will throw out some heat. i had the whole stove glowing hot

RVs are pretty much air tight. You have to have air coming into the heater Firebox from somewhere. Did YOU read the INSTRUCTIONS that came with the heater BEFORE assembling it? Companies spend a Lot of money on instructions so people will use their products correctly and safely.

I used stainless chimney liner to pipe into the smokehouse. It’s about 6’ long. Burning low to get smoke doesn’t heat up the pipe much at all. I’ve piped this way into wood smoke houses since the 80’s. Never had a fire (knock on wood).

The stove is made to vent straight up like most tent stoves. You may have to have the fittings that are close sized by a stove installer.

I don't know about building with used pallet wood, but I have been cautioned against burning it, even for outside fires due to the chemicals which may have been absorbed by the wood during its useful life. I know that you aren't burning it, but I wonder if the shed wood might off-gas in contact with the smoke and heat.

Thanks for watching. I used a piece of flexible stainless chimney liner. I crimped the stove end by cutting 2” in from the end about 12 times and then crimped the pipe by hand to fit the stove opening. It works for my smokehouse installation

I have to keep the door cracked for it to get enough air to burn, but that is very likely the wood I've used. Much better quality than I expected for the price. Now if I can just take it easy in the beginning it won't be 90 degrees in my blind. All in all it seems like a keeper.

The only thing i see wrong is the so called bells on the stove pipe are ass backwards the upper pipe should always go inside of the lower pipe so creosote runs inside of the lower pipe not outside all over the outside of the pipe and all over the stove top.

Thanks for watching. If the draft isn’t good you’re going to get smoke backup with any stove. If the stove is burning hot with a strong draft backup is minimal. When I use mine for smoking it is dampened down and not very hot so yes then the smoke comes out the door.

Wait a minute!! That tall pipe is to produce draft up the chimney! If you run that pipe horizontal you have just lost most of your draft and it will be harder for the stove to burn correctly.

I’ve run almost horizontally out of smoke chambers on different smoke houses since the 80’s. Stove pipes can be run horizontally. Many older homes had stovepipes run across rooms to expend as much heat as possible before exiting outdoors.
