Another note. You can buy 3" double wall chimney and to replace/extend the chimney depending on your install. I wanted a little more insulation between the chimney and my Kodiak tent and needed it to rise well above the roof. This did the trick.

The fire box is zinc galvanized coated which will gas off when burned at over 360 degrees. Anyone who buys one of these should first get a fire going as hot as you can outside to burn off the galvanized coating before putting it indoors.

I can even use mine to heat my house, from our basement, during a power outage and, it works great. Easy to cook a full meal on, too!! Simply a great product for a great price.

NOITE: If you would have placed the first ring to that chimney down from the top instead of the bottom before bolting it you could have installed the chimney sections so that there would not be any drips coming down outside of the pipe. Depenmds on the very last flame arrester onthe top if it fits or not.

I don't know about building with used pallet wood, but I have been cautioned against burning it, even for outside fires due to the chemicals which may have been absorbed by the wood during its useful life. Wait a minute!! That tall pipe is to produce draft up the chimney! If you run that pipe horizontal you have just lost most of your draft and it will be harder for the stove to burn correctly.
@LancoAmish
@LancoAmish 3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching. As long as the end of the pipe is above the outlet of the stove there is going to be a draft. I’ve run almost horizontally out of smoke chambers on different smoke houses since the 80’s. Stove pipes can be run horizontally. Many older homes had stovepipes run across rooms to expend as much heat as possible before exiting outdoors.
