That was about 17 years ago when I was 14 years old. I played this game with excitement and to this day, this game is still the best game in my memory. I had battles, guilds, weddings, one of the first 3D games with a flying and swimming system. Now the game has changed significantly and I no longer find it relevant, and my old friends are gone. I first met this game when i was 13 yrs old (2008)....and my sister joined this game too....she met her bf in 2019 thru this game, now they are married and have a baby, getting 1 yrs old next month! Too nostalgia to hear the background music....tears about to come out.... The name is just too fit the game - Perfect World.......

Year 2008. Started as a lvl 1 elf archer, ended as lvl 81 elf archer at late 2009s. Journeyed with a lvl 1 elf priest I met online at the starting town, ended it with the same elf priest at lvl 81. Undoubtedly a strong friendship forged even with just 1 year+ of playing PWI tgt. He had to stop due to RL matters, I couldn't carry on the game, I could, but I just couldn't get used to it. With this, I hope you're still out there and doing well. Thanks again for the memories on this game, Kurt.

Omg yeees...I first started playing back in 2008 before any of the new races were out. There were only Untamed, Elves, and Humans. My very very very first chara was a female elf that I just explored the world with. Then I deleted her and made my first "actual" character, a venomancer named fireyhamster. I had her for years and years on Heaven's Tear server but only got her up to 64 before I had to delete her due to a lot of drama and getting my account stolen. I'm not really fond with the game anymore...so much has changed to "help" the players..so many handouts it just feels...I'm not sure how to describe it. It used to be a great feat to get to level 100+, nowadays people may have multiple 100+ charas. I'm not sure when exactly it happened, but to me Perfect World International lost something very important and special along their journey and I don't think they'll ever get it back. They'll just continue to cheapen the game into the ground. No offense to current fans and players. I still play it on occasion, I'm just sad with all the changes that have been made. And god forbid, the shit economy that's come with it....

+callmepiee2009 I know how you feel. My first char was an elf, a cleric, and I remember how long it took to get her to level 85, it was madness. Then all the updates emerged out of nowhere, and suddenly everyone was 80+, 90+, etc. I felt a little cheated, but at least I generally had an advantage of being a better team-player than an average cleric who hadn't had the opportunity to get a good understanding of teamwork thanks to a lot of fast solo leveling. Personally, it isn't even the fast leveling that bothered me, at least not on itself. What I liked the most about PWI was the teamwork. I had specifically selected a character that would work better in a team because I get bored going on missions alone. But with all the extra 'help' players are getting they don't really have to work in a team anymore. They can just solo through the majority of the quests and skip the extra difficult ones they can't best on their own since there's plenty of other ways to get experience. There are only several that they can't overlook. The result is that the majority of the locations are bare save for the mobs, and that's just depressing. Gone is the sense of adventure and regularly gathering a team to beat the impossible odds, 'cause there's no need to beat the impossible odds anymore. And if you still want to do it, well, you can always ask a 100+ member of your faction to go kick a badass boss for you. Exciting, isn't it? Once again, PWI used to be all about teamwork, and it was well-balanced. The perfect squad included a member of each existing class, 6 members, each of whom could do something that other members couldn't, and therefore each of them was useful and had a place. Then the other classes and the Jeannies appeared, and the balance was gone. My, I sound like a grumbling old person. But still, I kind of miss the old PWI and my faction. It just isn't the same anymore.

God,I love this song so much.I started playing Perfect world 3 years ago. After 1 year of playing,I quitted few months cause I was bored. After 3 months,I freaking started playing the piano notes at my piano,without hearing the song before. I listened to this song so much I learnt it by ear,and after playing the song,I went straight to the computer and downloaded PWI again,because I missed the songs SO much.

Memories I must say. I still play PWI but it's just not the same anymore. It's like, when I first played it, I was so excited, so amazed by all the details in the game. The peace that you had while playing it.The higher you get, the more you know, and the more you realize ; It can be peaceful, but hurt in a completely different way than you are used to. Always remember the first character you made, the first real friend you got and the first faction you were in. PWI will always be in my heart.

I played PWI for the first time in 2011, Tideborns were the new race and I created a Psy... when I lvl up to 20 I couldn't play anymore because Archosaur was so laggy that I couldn't continue playing... 2 years and a half passed and I came back to PWI with my new computer, It was still cool (not as much as before) but I love the game, when I lvl up to 85 (I think) people started to leave the game, it was not the same and slowly I...started...boring.... and finally I left the game very sadly.... Now PWI has a big place in my heart as the first MMORPG I ever played and the lot of happy moments I had with my friends! Sadly, like every MMORPG PWI is dying day by day but I hope to find a similar game to PWI.... Ty PWI for all those moments :')

PWI seriously has the most beautiful music in the world. I've been playing this game since 2008, and I just have to cry when i listen to the game's songs. All the good memories, with no r9 and when people actually did quest to level, I still remember i went to lvl 28 by grinding because i didn't realise i had to go to Archosaur on lvl 20 :D I dont get how people can think this song sucks, this is truely a masterpiece

I remember getting this game in ..well, before the tideborn were added. Because my friend just got it and wanted to play with someone. We both started as winged elves but her computer was too crappy to actually play it so she quit real fast. I stayed because i loved the freedom the game gave the players as i spent many hours just flying around, going places i wasn't supposed to go to yet. I didn't really know how to play or what to do. I had way too much points in Vitality because "more life is good, right?" I got to level 32 with that character with some help from a guy i met ingame. After a while i quit and didn't play for a while. When i saw that the tideborn were added and i had to play it again because i'm a sucker for merpeople. I did get to level 64 with that one, but i honestly felt like that was just because they were really overpowered back then. After that i dabbled a bit with the new race, i can't even remember the name (the ones after the tideborn) but i just didn't feel much for them. I quit after that, i had a lot of fun in this game. Sometimes i think of redownloading it but i think the charm might've worn off over the years. Woo this got long, sorry about that, nostalgia does that.

This is my favorite PWI theme. It inspires me to keep going when things seem to go against me. I play Vavavum on the Archosaur Server (as my main). She's gone through hell and high water, and when this theme plays, I seem to do better than any other time. The reason for this is too long to explain here, but I really like this theme.
