Well I've mentioned this on your videos before about Leffe being next. Absolutely gutted. I was never a Stella drinker but I bought the machine for it's Belgian beers and Leffe was the main one. I bought my 2 PD machines after they changed the Leffe bottles to UK and it was absolute cr@p. I agree totally with Bazza's review even though I've not tried the lower ABV in keg it will be the same as the bottle. I used to buy bottles all the time but I've never bought one since tasting it after they changed it. You're right that it's not just about the ABV - to change the ABV the recipe has to have changed and they just don't taste the same. It's a total change to the beer not just the taste from the alcohol. I will never buy this in a keg and it's about time we all boycotted it. It's nothing more than profiteering. It wouldn't surprise me if Stella and Leffe Blonde are their biggest sellers so they've cut them first for maximum profit. We bought these machines for quality beer not more supermarket sh1te! It's even more annoying that they are selling it as 6.6 and lying about it but it seems to have gone out of stock overnight after a post by PD in their group saying it's what their customers want. I suspect it will reappear as the correct 6% stock soon after they were caught out. They deleted the entire post last night after everyone told them what they thought! Glad I screen shotted it all.

I've been drinking bottles of Staropramen lately. Simon from Real Ale Craft Beers did a video recently about proper Czech Brewed Staropramen being sold in Lidl. The difference is if it says "Perfectly Balanced" on the bottle neck, it's brewed in Molson Coors Burton on Trent Brewery. If it is in Lidl & has "Known For It's Balanced Taste" on the bottle neck, It's Brewed in Prague and imported and bottled at the Burton on Trent Brewery. I've been buying it from Lidl and it tastes really good with soft water quality at £1.79 a 500ml bottle.

Yep Simon from Real Ale Craft beers has been around a long time and like us is so annoyed about all these ABVs it's great to have a channel so big keep going on. As let's ve honest here the future certainly isn't bright at all as far as Perfectdraft goes...

I bought the Lidl Staropramen the other day. I'd forgotten what a great beer it is. Another prime example of a beer ruined for the UK market. I hadn't realised how bad it is until I tried the real deal again. There must be such a big market for proper imported beer. It's a shame someone else can't set up an import business for kegs and bypass PD and BeerWulf - plenty import bottled beers.

Oh fk!! Just bought a Leffe Keg and was 6.6% and the store I got it had lots in stock so gonna have to get back there sharply and buy the rest! Absolutely gutted they've done this on the keg too.

Not good, mate,as said,think we knew it was coming,with all the abv drops,price increases,and lack of decent new releases it becomming a non-viable luxery.I never minded paying extra for a quality home poured beer.However if this trend continues may have to have a re-think,and stick with cans and bothles for local taphouse,Are we seeing the begining of the end for PD,who knows,i hope not.Cheers

You're spot on with this take I've been bigging this machine up to anyone who cares to listen for the year or so have had it and feel depressed about this...just got myself a Leffé tap for the pro with it been the most suited to my taste...it's not about the ABV for me it just messes with the whole experience and the fact they don't change it on the website is just shoddy. Got a few left I will buy to keep the machine going but deffo won't be recommending this going forward

Just been to my local In store shop to pick up a Leffe Blonde after your review. There was only two Leffe kegs left at the 6.6 ABV as they are selling out like hot cakes, they are probably all gone by now. I bought the PD system for quality beer but if this carries on I wish hadn't bothered.

I’m afraid I could see this coming PJT as they recently reduced the bottle version and it tastes awful, let’s hope they don’t mess with the other versions of leffe or will it be a case of having to pay out even more money for beer..look at price of some strong craft cans now £6+ 440ml

Aslong as they don’t touch hasseroda and hertog grand I’ll be fine with keeping with this machine soon as they touch one of those in the bin it goes but i don’t think you can beat Heineken on the blade that’s what that machine is made for and the Heineken is miles better In that than the bottle or from the pub taste like a different beer then the pub and bottle can’t believe they are doing this tho it’s taking the piss might aswell get effes from bnm bargain for 1.69 a pint than carry on with this

The 5% Bud was always my go to keg and I always made sure I had some but I agree the 4.5% is just awful. Have 2 left and won't be buying any of the 4.5% Hawkstone & Lowenbrau are my new go to kegs

Not really, for .6 of an abv rating. If strength was what I was after I wouldn’t be drinking beer. My point is that it does not taste any different, that may just be. I drink beer for the taste not the alcohol strength.

No had both kegs, bottled or canned beers will taste different to kegs. But both kegs I had tasted the same.
