Oh Mark, this was extremely helpful, considering what we went through with that last grow. Several things were clarified by this video. Thank you bro, this is so helpful. I was using 2 table spoons of the Langbienite and did not realize the 4=4=4 and the 4-6-2 was interchangeable. Plus did not realize that the kelp and alfalfa was growth hormone heavy for the veg stage and so could be lessened or omitted during flowering (even though I knew kelp had growth hormones). It just has taken some introduction and practice to gain more knowledge of what is actually happening here. Incredible knowledge drop here. Thank you for cleaning our drinking water and plant water. Activating fermentation with the BAM/EM1 from the dormant state of the bottle was absolutely crucial as well. Huge drops here, thanks again Mark and Drops of Balance crew. There is great potential here! A game changer for well water/hard water problems.

Thanks for the help! I actually watch your videos to learn about soils and fertilizer and apply the concepts to bonsai. I’m coming from a zero knowledge background so it really helps. I’m figuring if it’s good for weed it’s probably also good for plants growing in pots. All my trees I’m trying to grow and thicken trunks so they are in bigger pots

I think a better way to explain this is to say for example kelp meal calls for 1tbsp per gal and alfalfa calls for the same thing. In that scenario, and you have 5 other amendments... Each with their own labels. And you're mixing 10 gallons of soil. You mix all those amendments together before adding anything to the soil. Let's say by the end of it you have 7 different amendments mixed together and it totals at about 70-100tbsp of the blended amendments. Then you'd mix it into your soil at a rate of about 2tbsp per gallon and top dress at half of that or less. I think that makes more sense than adding the full 70-100tbsp to your 10gallons of soil. Lol right?!

I grew microgreens commericallu for awhile and when I stopped I had to pallets of "Forest Coir" 70/30 from a company called forest floor. It worked wonderfully for microgreens but I am finding it difficult to use in container medical plants. Any advice for that type of soil? I already use Drops of balance and gia green as per directions. I am experiencing uneven dry back and entire sections of my planters often become hydrophobic. Someone suggested dish soap and that didn't sound like advice I should use. You're always full of useful information and make great videos I enjoy. Thank you in advance

I would believe this more if you didn't try to sell your product during your schedule. You can add BioLive from D2E to get a bunch of Bacteria and fungi. Langbinite take 3-6 months to break down. Humic acid will help more than drops of balance.

I hear you 80% of these are not my products. I can't even make money of the products because i can't sell them fyi Second humic acid it is a byproduct of drops of balance it's actually a lower quality form of it much lower quality form. You have to ask yourself does humid acid clean water in a 24 hour period if not then there is a clear distinguishable difference Mark

I use GAIA GREEN so I read the ingredients on the back of the GG bag I went and bought every single ingredient individually from down to earth and I amend with GG and all them ingredients I need the drops of balance and the bam for my next run right now I use Beastie blooms for my flowering stage seems to be working out for me I top dress every 4 weeks since it does take a little time to break down I've heard idk how long but I've heard up to 2 weeks idk if true hav to do a little more research on that thankx for the awesome video happy growing growmies!!

The 4-4-4 mix already has Langbeinite, Kelp Meal and Alph Alpha meal. Whats the advantage of using the seperate amendments instead of just more of the 4-4-4? Ive been using the 4-4-4 for veg and then going to their rose and flower mix for flower (4-8-4) Do you think what I'm doing is adequate or should i try switching to the mix you show in the video?
@PerfectGardensTV

@@seanbrooks2583 What I found over the years is that by adding these specific amendments and adjusting them with the 4 before ends up getting the best overall yield and quality without too much thought If you like the product you're getting with your material don't change anything I personally would just make sure to add drops of balance and bam To help break things down

@@PerfectGardensTV Thanks for responding! ive had good luck with just feeding the down to earth 4-4-4 and 4-8-4 during flower, but im always looking to improve. I've had cal-mag issues in the past and bought a box of their Basalt to try to fix it for my next run. (i burnt my plants with liquid cal-mag). When i go to purchase again i'm going to try the combination you list in the video instead of buying more 4-8-4. (those 40lbs boxes last a long time for a single 4x4 grow)

How does this make sense though... Let's say I baught every individual ingredient on the label of the all purpose lol and each ingredient will say anywhere from 1tsp to 2tbsp per month or other month. Right? So if you were to amend with all of them you'd end up with something like 12tbsp per gallon of all the combined amendments.. vs what all purpose says to use of the blend which is 2tbsp per gal max. And it's not because it's anything special lol it's just proportioned right after soil testing and performance runs. So if I'm understanding you right, someone not thinking would follow these guidelines and buy 16+ amendments let's say to copy Gaia green's 4-4-4 lol and after everything is added in their appropriate amounts, they'd be at something wild like over 1cup per gallon of dry amendments 😅 and be wondering why their plans are growing funny before dying
@Bahlockaye420
@Bahlockaye420 2 ай бұрын
@@Nasonix2 yeah I don’t think you’re understanding it right. 16 tablespoons is a cup. If you’re doing 1 gallon pot, you’re only gonna have 8 tablespoons of dried amendments in a gallon. Half cup at most. Using it whole lineup of liquid nutrients, you’re probably gonna be adding over a cup just to put it in context for you. Each one of those boxes say one to 2 tablespoons when starting a new plant in a container (pot). After three weeks or so you can top dress with lighter feeding. Especially with the langbinte. Mark also pushes a product called drops of balance has trace minerals in it and stabilize your water in your pH. He also pushes a product that you can make at home. Called BAM. It’s a microbial inoculate very helpful for living soil growers.
