Hi Angus, great job on the video. Just a quick question, is it allowed to change lanes when on a lane with a long unbroken white line. I noticed you switched to the right lanes when on the bus lane with the unbroken long white lines.

Hey Angus, Thanks for the Video. @12:45 , As you were checking and coming to the left while exiting at the roundabout, is there a chance someone from Corstorphine to Calder road coming straight and leave the roundabout at left the same time? Or should they wait to join Roundabout until you pass first ?

Hi, a question. Why at (10:45) did you change lines from the bus lane to the right throught the continuos line? I thought that I would have to wait till the dotted lines appear to be able to change to the right? Sorry, for asking. I just want to know if I'm wrong.

Hey Angus just a quick question I’m doing my test soon in my own car without my instructor at the Currie test centre, where should I park before going into the centre, the car park or the street across from the centre where the test usually starts?

+@MulletedMan Great, you can park wherever you like around the test centre. I usually get people to reverse into a space in the car park, yes it’s a bit bumpy but at least when they begin they just drive out slowly. The downside to parking on the street is that while you’re in the waiting room for the start time of your test someone could park very near you jamming you in. Yes I’m sure you will be able to get out but it might not be the nicest way to start especially if you’re nervous as well. Good luck with the test I’m sure you will do very well.

hey Angus, got my test at currie next week. The only roundabout I'm confused on is the 3 lane one that runs over the bypass, as all lanes are marked as straight ahead. Any tips to stay good if I get it on test? your videos are great

+@frank_intihar2065 Great observation, I believe the reason it’s painted like that is to try and prevent people from going around the roundabout the wrong way. In case someone goes up to the roundabout and turns right. If you start to look at roundabouts on roads that are dual carriageways you will notice if you are going straight on if you approach in the left that lane will go ahead (it might turn into the middle lane on some spiral roundabouts just as you arrive but you will still be able to drive straight into it) if they didn’t make it like that then it would be like there was a permanent obstruction. So on dual carriageways/multiple laned roads you would expect the left lane to continue straight on and of course if you are turning right the right lane will usually be what you need. Best of luck with the test next week, let me know how you get on. I’m sure you’ll be great. Also remember if you end up in a lane that goes the wrong way, just go where the lane goes and you won’t lose any points. As long as the driving is correct and you are allowed to go where you go so it’s not a no entry or buses only turn then everything will be fine. Hopefully that makes sense.
