Great "stream". A lot of very interesting ideas, although maybe too complex for film? Couple thoughts: - Plagius being so evil it nearly kills Padme would be difficult to explain/show unless the suggestion is her health is abnormally sensitive to force users around her. Maybe could tie this together with a "Pull" she feels toward Anakin, fating them together (imply the power of his thoughts of her, pulls her). There would need to be a forshadowing line saying she noticed becoming abruptly calmed by Quigon's presence in the room, or some such. - Would need to foreshadow the telekinesis ability before the jedi testing, like flashback where a podracer colleague/friend, about to killed by a an enemi racer (hut?) in the race, hears anakins' (someones') voice to dodge/evade (just one shout) but Anakin is convinced he s not the source of it when discussed with confusion by the friend. I look forward to the attack if the clones correction!

The first point also would be another emphasis of Palpatine's ability to disguise himself as even Padme cant sense him. It could be an interesting tie to the notion of aristocratic blood carrying more "power/ability" than the average persons'.

I love the EU canon and I think it fixes mamy of the issues with the original Prequel movies. But I love your ideas and I think they would have made for a far more interesting foundation to build an extended universe on

One thing, it would be great and fitting for Mace to duel and wound Maul as the Gungans arrive to turn the tide. Have Windu sever Maul's arm and force him to retreat under cover of Droideka fire. Would give a second lightsaber duel to intersperse with the battle against Plagueis and would give Maul a vested personal interest in leading the armies of the CIS (to find Windu and get his revenge).

Excellent ideas, although the original lore of Darth Plagius being slain by Palpatine seems too good to throw away. For more space-politics I highly recommend the anime Legend of the Galactic Heroes. Most anime is trash, but this one is an exception. One can easily watch it on the Internet Archive.

This was my storyline idea for the prequels: The galaxy is in the throes of the Clone Wars: a massive attack by a weird, uncanny clone army secretly created to destabilise the Republic by Palpatine as a pretext to seize federal power and make the corrupt, vicious Stormtroopers the Republic's ruthless new army. The Jedi, seemingly sharing certain eldritch traits with the Clones, are being framed as instigators, and are on the run from the Stormtroopers and also trying to figure out how to beat the Clone army which is always one step ahead of them. Obi Wan meets nice, likeable fully-grown Anakin, hot-headed commercial pilot, and his wife who is also a fun, fleshed-out character unlike Amidala. Obi Wan senses his power and, running low on Jedi knights, he trains him out of desperation. Anakin and Obi Wan go on many exciting missions together to evade the Stormtroopers while seeking the source of the Clone army. They eventually discover that Palpatine is behind everything just as he becomes the Emperor (and immediately "beats" the Clones after quietly eliminating dissenting Republican diehards). After confronting the new Emperor (who also senses his power), Anakin is headhunted by him in a series of cat-and-mouse adventures, and then, during a moment of panic while protecting his wife he is taunted into a rage and we are led to think he dies in the resulting conflict while she and Obi Wan get away. Obi Wan escapes with Anakin's visibly pregnant wife to her brother Owen and his wife Beru, and says "I have to go back to find him, I can sense he's still alive", and Obi Wan flies off to rescue Anakin. THE END.
