I actually really appreciate them focusing on Manga Canon for the game's base roster, the stuff Toriyama actually wrote. It's fitting. Xenoverse 2 came out 8 years ago and is still getting DLC, Sparking Zero is gonna be even bigger than that so we're gonna be getting DLC for like a decade, GT and Movies and Filler and Game characters (21/Shallot/Mira/Towa/etc) will all be added eventually, this game's gonna have everyone by the time it's done. And I think it's gonna be really hype looking forward to DLC, I'm just remembering how fun it was with everyone waiting to see the next Smash reveal. Plus DLC is a great excuse to come back to a game every time it's added.

that makes no sense to have a random movie char and his transformation there, stop the copium, movies are DLC and so is gt. its really annoying still hearing this when we literally have 2 or 3 trailers left before release (Buu, TOP, OG DB) If you think there are gonna be spots after all those are revealed, you might just be delusional. Those are obviously taking priority and if you just take a sec to fill out the spots of characters from Super especially, there is NO room left to fit GT characters without leaving out transformations. Like, do fans really want to just see a solo SS4 goku and vegeta without the other GT forms? it doesn't matter what used to be base roster, they gotta make their bag somehow bruh

Before the trailer, my team was Goku Mid, Fused Zamasu, Dyspo, Future Gohan and Beerus. Now with how good Cell looks in general, he replaces Beerus for me. Also, don't worry about the music, we will get a separate anime music pack like Xenoverse 2, FighterZ and Kakarot have. It was confirmed a while back with the Japanese trailers.

Not at launch. I'll bet money on DLC. There's no way they don't come but not at launch. Launch seems like canon characters to the main series. GT and movies are side canon and alternate universe/ timeline stuff really

At this point after the Buu characters get in. No way Z movies and GT or other non canon Z stuff are gonna make it. Unless and this is a big very low chance, they aren’t doing original dragon ball characters, which if so is very weird, plus we already have Yajorbi and master roshi who count as Og dragon ball. I don’t see them only putting in a little or few characters, they’d want all of GT in a dlc pack and Z movies in 1 or 2 dlc packs, cause that’s what’s gonna make them sell. Not a fan of GT but I was starting to think there was a chance but filling in the slots, nope.

I really hope King Cold has his Z colour scheme as a second skin. I don't really like the Super one. Too much white and looks off. Only real gripe with this trailer though. I do expect Cooler and all movie characters later. So, it's only a matter of time. Not in base game, I would imagine. Do hope for Chilled, though. I can see King Cold having some fun dialogue with Frost. 'I don't recall having a third son?' I'm sitting on a hypothetical that they don't do OG Dragon Ball on launch but save it for DLC. So with the remaining remaining slots I'd want them to focus on finishing Z and Super in terms of characters. I appreciate how in depth you went, I could totally see them spreading out character packs to sell more, but I could also see them sell one specific part like GT all at once, just because we’d also have to consider Campaign missions coming out with it. I would hope and assume it’s more than just characters, I’d love more story missions with What Ifs.

@DarsisDro I was basing this off the first season pass. 3 DLC adding to 20+. So I guess 6-8 characters per pack. Seems it may be easier to split them into bite-sized clumps, but I agree it is a pain for story mode stuff. What-ifs are the most exciting. I must admit and the more obscure characters the better I think the movies work better as they are whole films in clumps. Plus, Bio Broly and Giant Metal Cooler give a Giant in each. Had these breakdowns for quite a while with all the hype building around this. And going of the BT3 roster. If they're willing to go all in like Xenoverse 2 we can have easily 4 or so years to this game. Maybe more if lucky
