sigh!! Why was I not born 80 years earlier? This era had everything that is missing from today.

Wonderful old tune, just wonderfully performed. What a class act she was, what a tragic life really. She sang from the heart- and perhaps her difficult life was what made her such a great torch singer. Thanks for this- love it. -Bill in Canada

Warren and Dubin wrote such beautiful stuff! This was a perfect tune for Helen Morgan. Great accompanyment by the Warner Brothers Orchestra under Leo Forbstein. Too bad Helen Morgan didn't make more movies.

Jolson and Ruby Keeler--is this from "Go into your dance"? What a lovely voice Ms Margan had.

Dubin's the fat guy in front beside Helen. Harry's the Italian guy sitting on the piano bench beside the piano player. This is one of a handful of torch songs they wrote in the mid-1930's. Looks like Toby Wing over Helen's right shoulder...the "Young And Healthy Girl." Indeed a perfect tune for Helen, tailor made for her.

One of a kind. Polly Bergen's rendition on "Bergen Sings Morgan" is a gem also.
