Many headlights allow for horizontal adjustment without taking them off, and ye generally an 8mm ratcheting wrench or i suppose a right angle Philips can be used to adjust them if space is tight or the grooves aren't there for the screwdriver

I have adaptive headlights which adjusts themselves according to what speed I'm at. That's why I'll just follow the recommendation from factory of my particular car which is 1 % inclination for the headlights and 2.2 % inclination for the fog lights. This way it also doesn't matter what length I have on offer to which ever wall I'm going to use, because you simply take the % out of the length from the projectors to the wall ahead. 10 meter distance = 10cm drop for headlights and 22cm drop for the foglights(down from center) and these numbers obviously wil change according to how far your headlights is from which ever wall you will use. I feel that's better than using some generic number that "may" be ok given I don't know exactly how far up/down/side to side the lights adjust themselves while I'm driving.

You can get ratchet end wrenches on the headlight adjusters too. I think my MoriMoto are 8mm.

Would it not be better to pull up to the wall and mark center of each headlight first? They can be the same distance apart but off to one side.
@satin227Ай бұрын
@@bpowda84 I had the same thought maybe it's because marking while up against the wall first then backing up may throw off the alignment if you don't back up perfectly straight vs parking the recommended distance away from the wall then find the center line of the car and place your tape based on that

I need to know what are the best LED Bulbs for my low/high beam and fog light for my 2014 Ford Cmax Energi
@HeadlightRevolution25 күн бұрын
Your low beam is an H11, high beam is H1. You can find our recommendations below! H11: www.headlightrevolution.com/bulbs/led/custitem_cat_facet_bulb_size/H11 H1: www.headlightrevolution.com/bulbs/led/custitem_cat_facet_bulb_size/H1

Now this makes sense, shouldn't there be an exact height for all headlights for example if your headlights are 5 ft off the ground and you lower them 2 inches, what good is that going to do?
@HeadlightRevolution26 күн бұрын
There is definitely a general recommended height, but the aiming process will be different per vehicle since lifted trucks will need to aim lower, whereas lowered cars might need to aim high. Using the OEM standard for aiming, meaning OEM vehicle height and OEM aiming points, will be the best wait to determine where you should be aiming.

Start with low beams! Not all high beams can be adjusted seperately

Is it true that I should slightly twist my led bulb around 5 degrees from the 9 and 3 o’clock setting for better beam pattern?
@HeadlightRevolution3 ай бұрын
Every headlight is different, we do typically recommend 9 and 3 o'clock for most LEDs but some vehicles, like Toyotas, can have a better beam pattern with a slight twist.

Is this adjustment of low beam or high beam ?

This would apply to both low/high beams - low beams are featured in this video when aiming on the wall

I have projects headlight equipped with halogen before, it was great before. it had a hotspot that have longrange output. But when i change to led bulb after market. The hotspot before was gone. Now it look light an floodtype light. It was great for short distance far brighter within shortdistance but when it comes to longrange its disappointing . Looks like halogen have longer distance for me. Btw, ihave toyota fortuner 2017 9012 type. Any recommendations , i really need longrange distance when driving at night. Thanks

99.9% chance its the LED you're using, or the alignment of the LED inside the headlight.

What do you do if your headlights don't have the alignment mark (19 charger alpharex)
@HeadlightRevolution3 ай бұрын
Use best judgement to find the center of the headlight, typically in the middle of the projector!

Pull up as close as you can to the wall and put the tape at the cutoffs, then back up 25 ft. and align to those marks. If they were very far off then pull up close again after aligning and move the tape, then yeah if its over 36" make sure to aim them 2in lower at 25ft
@nelsonhall838410 күн бұрын
Why does no one ever do a video to properly aim high beams??
@HeadlightRevolution7 күн бұрын
Because most high beams are connected to low beams, meaning they adjust at the same time and not seperately. 🤔
