Thanks! When I first started wire wrapping I got cramps on my hands. After I learn to "put the piece away" and correct myself to better posture, the cramps stopped. Great advice! Love always!

I work on different projects at once, so I can alternate between them. Obviously, they are different types of weaving, etc. to give my hands a break. This also helps keep me from getting bored or frustrated.

I don't think I've ever of all the videos I've watched had an artist teach about the self care etc. My biggest problem is tension on the weave wire itself , I either have too much tension or not enough seriously struggling on how much tension 🤦‍♀️. Thank you SO MUCH for your videos !!!

It's important and it's not covered by many if any, so I thought it would be a good reminder to us all and a heads up to new weavers of what this beautiful technique can do to your hands. The tension should be about as tight as you might hold onto string floss with (like for flossing teeth)... about as tight as that. I hope that helps!

Thanks for the tape tip! I've been using bandaids, which can be pricey! I don't get blisters so much as little skin splits from my skin being so dry. Plus, I've grown some pretty unsightly calluses!

Right! I gave up bandaids a long time ago and went to this finger tape, it also lasts quite a bit longer.

Hi Jane, I don't know what size they are... I'm new to them but I only use them for the 28g or 30g weaving wires. They measure 2 inches round... here is one that is 2.5 inches from firemountaingems.com but I'm sure they are online in all sorts of places including the amazong. firemountaingems.com/search?searchtype=Shop&keywords=wire+bobbin I hope that helps!
