Love that you’re a lover of a beautiful Latin tune Clare. My correction to your calling her instrument a shaker comes with no judgement or rancor. My aim is to only inform. She’s playing a Guiro, a traditional latin percussion piece originally made from a gourd. It’s a fine example of Puerto Rican (where it originated) love and soul. As am I! I agree maintaining tempo and singing is not an easy task. Doing so while looking so beautiful (as are you) is an extra treat. -Your Brother In Music ❤

Soothing voices. There are many Portuguese-Filipino, Da Silvas in the Philippines. Their ancestors were originally Portuguese from Macau who settled in the Philipines. One of them is my sister in law who was a 1st runner-up in the Miss Philippines in the 1970s
