Why you took the means of AQI for each month? Why not daily AQIs? Btw thanks for the explanation.

It was because the air quality sensor (in my study area) was down on certain days in different months. Therefore using monthly averages helped to mitigate the impact of missing data.

Oh ok that makes sense. Is it correct to say that the time intervals between the observations in a time series should be constant? And any missing values should be dealt with appropriately?
