Hannah sounds exactly like someone who has never worked a back breaking wage slave job in her life, and god bless, no one should, but lots of people have no other choice. Park your privilege at the door and entertain the idea that those that do work those jobs aren't paid for how gently and silken gloved they handle anyones luggage, they're paid to expedite and get shit on and off as quickly as possible, blame the disgusting capitalistic back breaking system you endorse with all your inlaid disingenuous earth killing advertisements that you shill for. That's whats driving a soulesss inconsiderate world. Get a damn grip and open your eyes

Yes shame on those people who put you down. You are entitled to the same as everyone else. Fingers crossed the IVF works and you can start a family soon. The love you have for each other is visible in everything you do or say. I also had doubters when I married a disabled man who travelled from the UK to Australia after more than 6 years in a long distance relationship. We celebrated 25 years of marriage this last Valentine’s Day. I love watching all your videos and podcasts, keep up the good work ❤

My son Being a parent a disabled child I totally understand all your frustrations. Unfortunately, some able body people do not have the insight of how a disabled person can be married, parent a child, have a job, drive, the list can go on and on. Everyone in this world have something different or unique about us. Some peoples are more noticeable than others, however it does not make someone unable to do whatever it is that they are trying to achieve. We all have feelings, disabled and able body alike. I pray your IVF journey goes well. You guys' ROCK! It's easy for me to say don't let what people say offend you. What you two are doing is educating others out there. Keep up the awesome work and just be yourselves.

Please please do not feel guilty. You are so generous to let us share your lives, even if it was just a glimpse. You give of not only your time but your privacy, we are lucky to have you. As a disabled person myself I can only appreciate how much you have done for awareness and understanding. I hate the thought that you spend time daily feeling guilty. Pls change that into pride that you have implemented healthy boundaries for your own sakes, whilst still being so giving to us all. Also, at this time in your life I think it’s normal to be more aware especially when bringing children into the equation. It is healthy and admirable. Thanks for everything you do 💜

We're the generous ones. This is Shane & Hannah's job, and it has made them wealthy. They travel and live a pretty amazing life compared to a lot of America. Just like all of us have to go to work and deal with the daily grind, there are drawbacks to everything. If they want less public scrutiny (which comes with tons of assholes with an opinion) then they could get more conventional jobs. I don't support anyone hating on anyone, don't get me wrong, but let's not pretend they are doing a charity by recording their lives. This is a problem all influencers have. Nothing in life is free and if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
@beingauthentic1234
@beingauthentic1234 Жыл бұрын
Generosity is not only financial. As a disabled person myself I would never want to share my private medical details, that is generous. I would never be able to share a relationship online, that is generous. I would never be brave enough to talk about ableism publicly, that is generous. I am well aware this is their job. That doesn’t mean that I cannot offer admiration and respect for the fact that they do it. The irony of me writing a kind comment from my lived experience as a disabled person and you then saying you don’t advocate for hate, whilst being negative is so ironic. Could have just scrolled on by but you had to put your two cents in when all you talked about was financial aspects. Hannah and Shane are so generous with their time, lives and teaching us about ableism, whether they are paid for it is irrelevant to me. Disagree all you want, but it’s my opinion and that’s not changing 😊

Improved accessibility for flying is important to me also. I am deaf, blind in one eye and use a walker for ambulation. My endurance is not very good so I would need to use a wheelchair in the airport. We use O’Hare airport, which is quite large. In 1920, when my great-uncle Tom, the son of Irish immigrants in New York City, was college age, he won a Rhodes Scholarship to study at Cambridge University in England. However, he had a been a victim of the polio pandemic ten years earlier and was permanently confined to a wheelchair. He could not go to England to study because there was no way for him to travel on a boat or live at Cambridge - no accessibility of any kind. So he stayed home and went to Columbia University because their family lived very close to that campus. His brother made sure he got everywhere he needed to go and took care of him all his life. I remember as a child in the 1950's hardly ever seeing anyone in a wheelchair!! And when I did, I was afraid for them - fear of the unknown. Things are so much better now and you guys are making it even better. Thank you!

About damn time!!!!! Where I used to work I was on a committee that dealt with how our place handled accessibility. We had trouble trying to get tjose that could make changes understand the issues...until we convinced them to try to navigate in a manual wheelchair. Afterwards, amazingly, funds were found and issues where addressed. Sometimes people really don't understand just how different everyday life can be until they or a loved one live with alternative abilities. We just need to take education seriously.

Hi, Hannah and Shane ~ love you two! I have been enjoying your video chats for years. I know society is upside down but it is hard to understand how so many can be mean spirited, rude and critical of others. I guess the term, "hurt people, hurt people" is true. I hope that this wave of negativity will die down soon and you will be able to relax. For now it seems like you just have to pull through. We (your loyal supporters) will hopefully be your island of safety for now. Please be kind to yourselves!

I found you guys years ago, after the special books for special kids video. Youre rwo of my favorite KZbinrs. I had noticed a decline in frequency of video posts. I assumed it was due to IVF. I'm sorry for all of the hateful comments you receive. I don't often comment on KZbin videos or Instagram posts of content creators whom I enjoy. Your video made me stop to think, maybe I should do that more, to do my little part to help drown out the haters.

I’m so sorry people are so people are such jerks. I Love you guys n I’m sure it still hurts but their not your people. We can’t please everybody so just please keep posting things what you’re passionate about Im sure in time you’ll get used to these idiots and ignore them. Everyone has their opinions but if they can’t say some t ice they shouldn’t say anything all. I would block them if it’s possible & if the post seems like it’s rude n hurts try not to finish reading it and delete the haters. Locke you Gus so much. ❤

You two are precious to me and all of your loyal friends. My advice as a 64 year old grandma who loves everything you share, stop looking at comments and hire someone to manage that for you. Seriously, just do you and don't look at what any else says. They don't matter. They are either jealous or just petty and the don't matter! They aren't clicking the like button or subscribing. They don't buy Shane's books or support your passions. They obviously don't have anyone with accessibility issues in their lives. They Don't MATTER. Silence them with the tools available and keep doing what you've been doing. We are here, cheering you on and supporting what your doing. Love always from Illinois.

I do miss your posts. Please do not let the bad guys win. They aren't legit; they are power hungry bullies who want to hurt others. I taught my kids to laugh at them. Mock them. Never let them see that it bothered them. TAKE YOUR POWER BACK. I realize that this is a toxic society that cancels bc people didn't learn to be patient or kind or just not an @$$ hat. You're lovely people with kindness and honor and humor. Our world needs your old fashioned goodness and modern perspective. Stay strong and spit in their eye; they're jealous, turd faces. (Thus spoke an old woman who began a sweet young farm girl and now I'm tougher than an old boot....I also get to go to peddlers village for my bday and Christmas every year! Love the scare crow and ginger bread house contests🎉)

I have noticed the decrease in videos and miss you guys but I 100% understand why and you should not feel guilty for prioritizing your family and your mental health. It is unfortunate that the situation is what it is given how other humans chose to act and treat others, but your response to it is perfectly healthy and reasonable. ❤

I have been with you guys for years now and I still love you so much, you make my day brighter, you make me laugh and just hearing you both talk about everything is fabulous. I'm so excited to hear that they are making changes on airplanes. I really hope that passes! You can count on me to write my letter to my Senator! I have realized over the year that you guys haven't posted a lot, I get it.... There's Haters everywhere, but please don't let that stop you both for sharing everything with us, if you do... The haters will win , and None of us want that!!!!! I always get so excited to see that you posted a new video or podcast. I am thrilled about your speaking engagements, in Orlando and Wisconsin and more ! I would greatly appreciate meeting you both when you are in Florida next. Shane and Hannah, you both have put a spark in me to fight for change. I will also , soon write out an email to you both from me and explain what I am talking about and thinking about. Shane and Hannah, you both are so brave about what context you share with everyone and I am very happy that you both shared, for one, your IVF journey with us. Please remember, you both are better than every hater out there! I love you guys so darn much and what you stand for plus you guys are Amazing, beautiful, genuine, kindhearted and loving people ! I'm super excited to see what comes next

From me personally, I have loved your videos, from really early on in your KZbin journey. Irrespective of your relationship/disability message, I have simply loved to watch your travel and life stories. I follow many other channels where people/ couples are just living life. I love those videos. Please do more again when you are ready x

Shane and Hannah, I have noticed because I follow both you and Cole and Charisma but I thought it was due to speaking engagements or other things that you do off camera. I would love to see more videos. As far as the negative netty's I would block them. It is your channel so you can choose WHO you want to be on it. Since I am in the I.T. field, I know that it takes time to record, edit and post videos. But we would love to have more content and especially the disability world and accessibility. Having had a disabled father (passed away 2 years ago), I am aware of many of the issues, especially the parking lot issues and even restaurant access more in small rural areas. Looking forward to seeing more of Squirmy and Grubbs!!!!!!!

I have noticed that things have changed in the number and type of postings. I miss the videos of trips or just an outing you go on, etc etc. BUT, now that I know the reasons why, I totally understand. Your mental health and safety from mean people comes first. That others criticize you and feel the need to dictate how you should live makes me so sad and angry. I want to give all the haters and nay sayers a good shake and slap. You two are obviously happy and doing the best you can. Facing your challenges with courage and a positive outlook. People are downright jealous of it and just want to make you feel bad because they feel bad themselves. Well poo on them. You two are amazing and so funny! Love your videos!!! Thanks for sharing your story!!

💔 I'm so incredibly sorry that you guys have to go through all that 🥺 Truly 😞 There is no other profession in this world where it acceptable to be exposed to that level of vitriol. Everything you do or say picked apart by the masses who each have their own opinion. It would be absolutely exhausting and wears you down. And not just the intensity of it but the VOLUME of it. I mean, there's nothing else like it in the world. Even the most well-adjusted, self-assured person would crumble under the weight of such things. You both do an INCREDIBLE job continuing to put yourselves out there despite it all. We are so grateful 🙏 And yes, as a long-time follower and supporter, I have indeed noticed your content changing over the years. Particularly once you started doing YT shorts. Because, as you said, that attracted not just a a massive uptake in followers but a different kind of follower. Which impacted you both. Your content has definitely not been as unguarded and natural as it once was. It's also not as frequent and varied as it once was. And that is a shame. Because I (like many others from the OG days) miss it. BUT I also COMPLETELY understand your need to do whatever is necessary to protect yourselves and your mental health. THAT COMES FIRST! Anyone who loves you guys will understand that. We support you no matter what ❤ And it has brought us Junkyard Mayhem which is fantastic 👏🥰So there's always a silver lining to these things 😊 But if you are missing engaging with your more supportive viewer base then perhaps consider putting your more personal content behind a Patreon paywall? It's not ideal as many of your viewers (myself included) struggle with health issues so any extra cost can be difficult. But you give so much back to us, if that is what is required to keep engaging with that more unguarded/varied/personal content then I would do my best to find the money to support you guys in that. That should help weed out the vast majority of the types of people you don't want to be sharing that sort of content with. However you guys chose to proceed, we are here for you. And we understand that the struggle is real. Love & light x
