I'm an old man so I wanted an old man bagger. I purchased a Honda VT600 VLX cruiser for it's low seat height and it's one of the few modern motorcycles old 70's era Windjammer fairing can be mounted on. I found a complete Windjammer touring kit with the Windjammer fairing, bag's, and trunk for $100. I fabricated brackets for all of it. It turned out better than I expected! If moving while it's raining I will stay dry. That was 12 years ago. After enjoying the bike those 12 years I was now 12 years older and was starting to almost drop the bike a little too often. Most would give up but not me. I added a Velorex 562 sidecar to it which solved the "too old for motorcycles" problem. I actually should have gotten into sidecars decades ago! All I can say is "So much fun"!

Seems like one of the rare outfits that actually tries to make a bike as sick as possible within somebody's budget. Its a hard life because there's less money in the game when you operate like that but my hats off to you for sure. That's pride of craftsmanship shit

Im putting together a 07 eg standard. Switching to a rg fairing, fuel moto 107 kit, woods 555 cams, custom 2 into 1, 14" mx bars, race tech springs fr., ohlins 13.5" rear, progressive sstabilizer, stereo, paint, powder coat, ect. Watching all the budget bagger and skinny tire bagger stuff.

Sounds like a ripper, I would suggest much shorter bars for handling

@@kruesioriginals I'm sure you're right. I bought these 4yrs ago to replace my 14" yaffee apes. I'm 6'2" w long arms tho. Was running air ride in the rear, bag extensions....that look. Tore it down for a low buck "performance" type ride, and got locked up for two years. Made parole, and getting back on the build. I ride a sweet lil 94 fxdl in the mean time.

This is so very cool… I’m a tall guy and do not fit on standard HD cruisers… the seat height (27.7 or so) on the fat bBob is the tallest but with its wheel base I’m very “scrunched “ up and not comfortable… I’ve been thinking… I want a bad ass scooter built out of the road series platform without all the touring crap hanging off it… Ready to rip canyons…. I’m really interested in how this turns out… thank you..!!

Effin love this build series! An planning to do exactly the same with an M8 RG, either a RGST or RGS and have it shipped to Sweden where I live. Any tips or tricks on how to pick a good bike to buy from Copart? Would love to hear! Subbing🤘🏼🤘🏼
@kruesioriginals Жыл бұрын
Copart you just have to examine every picture thoroughly and read the write up. It’s really a gamble I don’t really mess with Copart too much really at all but you can find some good deals there.
@JakobKaizen Жыл бұрын
@@kruesioriginals Gotcha, thanks. So even tho it´s marked as "Run and Drive" meaning it´s been started, put in gear and rolled forward as well as the only damages you can visually see on the bike is cosmetic, that wouldn´t be anywhere near likely to be a engine, drivetrain and chassi wise safe bike to go for basically? My mechanic is helping me source the bike as he´s done this a few times before himself, but it might be a bigger gamble than I though then?
