I couldn't stress this enough but Jungwoo is such an underrated dancer in NCT!! He just has this natural sass in his moves. For a very tall guy, his dancing is surprisingly sharp and precise but fluid at the same time. Like he's dancing on water. The attitude he exudes while dancing caught my attention the first time he joined NCT. He's a diva on the dance floor. He knows it and he owns it! 🔥

Fun fact about Jaehyun one of the reason why he dances sharp is because his grandmother used to be a Professional Dancer until she retired recently, his grand mother would watch his performances and she would properly correct Jaehyun if she sees something lacking or if his hand gesture is proper, thats why Jaehyun dances sharp as well.

The interesting thing about regular/irregular is that one half is reality, the other half is fantasy. The english version is much more "look at all the money we have" than the korean version. The english is also on the fantasy half of the album.

Both versions actually differ in meaning. The English version is more about boasting success, obsession with wealth, and dissatisfaction despite it. While the Korean version is completely the opposite. It gives the message of working hard to excel with passionate effort to achieve them.

yuta is a vocalist & lead dancer! some major complaints we have with nct is that so much of the focus is on mark & taeyong that other members like yuta, johnny, and jungwoo (and winwin of course) who are all capable don't get to shine much. even the main vocalists can only get a couple short lines in each because of the style 127 tends to do

Now that you have heard the English and Mandarin version of "Regular" , you should also check out the Korean version (The MV is slightly different from the English version because the lyrics are different.) And once you have done that you should then look up the lyrics to all 3. If you look up the lyrics for the Korean and Mandarin versions and compare them to the English version you will see that even though it's the same beat and the same title, the lyrics are different for all 3 songs. (They also have performed a Japanese version in concert or on a program or something that I watched -- I can't remember exactly where I heard it) If you look up the lyrics for the Korean version you will discover that the lyrics for the English version of "Regular" is almost opposite of what they are talking about in the Korean version. That's why the album is called Regular Irregular. The English version is what I would describe as the cocky version of the song and it hits on the aesthetic of what appeals more to an American audience. The English version talks about being famous and having lots of money and still not being satisfied until they possess all the riches and fame. "Regular" is supposed to be NCT-127's U.S. debut so that is why they made an English version. However, the Korean version is what I would call the humble version of the song. The Korean lyrics talk about how they are constantly working hard and are never satisfied with the end result and how they hope to have the success that they always dream of, etc. -- which is what appeals more to a Korean audience. The Chinese version of the song also has different lyrics. The MV for WayV's version of "Regular" is about dominating in the technology realm and that is why you see them as stock traders in the stock market and at one point they are literally inside a computer, etc. It's all about dominating in the business world. "Regular" was technically WayV's debut song as well. You should really take the time to see what makes the 3 versions so different, besides the fact that they are in 3 different languages. :D It's really interesting to see how 3 songs can be created in 3 different languages using the same beat and feel, and yet have completely different messages. It just goes to show how diverse the music industry is and yet still so similar. :D Another reason why WayV's MV is so different from the Korean and English version is because they are the Chinese sub-unit and they can't have anything that might connect them to NCT or make it look like they might be working with their Korean company if they want to promote in China. Because of the political issues between Korea and China right now, they have to appear as if they are a Chinese group and are separate from anything to do with SM in order for the Chinese government to allow them to appear on Chinese programs, etc. and to promote themselves and their album in the country.

This album has 2 parts Regular (reality) and Irregular (dream).The English version is in the Irregular section of the album. Hence, it is actually about a dream of them making it big and getting rich and successfull. So it is intentional to make the song as braggy as possible. Prove, on 0:38 of the Eng MV (there's none in the Korean MV) the text on the tv is *you know, it's all in our dreams* . Looking at the lyrics of the korean version, you'll see that it emphasize on the person rather than on money. Which I feel is emphasised in the MV as well bcs there's a lot more shots of the members themselves and the editing is not as dazzling (I'm not sure of the word) as the English one. Dreams and reality has always been a concept that NCT follows from their debut and you can see it in their NCTmentary and SM_NCT videos.
