Thank you for reacting to them. "One (Lucid Dream)" is the last part of their trilogy (wannabe, without you, one) about finding true self/identity. In ''Wannabe'' the want to be their perfect side, but in ''Without You'' the lost their self in the journey to get perfect form. In ''One'' they finally realized that pain and dream will guided them and make them going stronger. This trilogy really meaningful for them because they finally comeback after 1 year hiatus.

I remember the first song I ever listened from them was "Without You". It was on a Spotify artist's radio playlist (maybe from The Boyz...? I'm not sure). I was cleaning the house and had to drop everything to print the screen and go back to check the artist hahahaha Not a single regret tho, they are SO GOOD! Still getting to know the members and all, but I feel like they have a great future ahead of them

The whole point of the song is:- 1) being trapped in the temptation/wanting of ideal self which is represented as Lucid dream and how it is painful and unrealistic to achieve perfection. 2) breaking out of their desire i.e. end of lucid dream (as building crumbled down) 3) waking up and realising what you are in real is perfect (them standing at last in white suit) 😁 But yeah, it's complicated and everything is perfect like Golden. If you haven't watched first two songs of the 'self-discovery' trilogy (Wannabe and without you) you should do that. Those songs are amazing af. That beautiful looking guy is Bomin, maknae, vocalist, lead dancer, face of the group. Y (strong vocal high note guy, boy who tumbled down hard) and joochan (soft, falsetto guy, guy with orange hair) duo is one of the best thing of Golden Child.

I personally think that the song went like the way you explained (expecting more in the 2nd chorus but not getting more and just jumping into the dance break) is because it could be tied into the storyline of the trilogy. Maybe in the storyline (Wannabe, Without You, One) Golden Child kept trying to find themselves and looking for more and more, but they got the same results and realized that they don't need to keep looking for themselves, they have found themselves without knowing it. idk this is just how i see it, i could be overthinking haha

FINALLY! Someone else who knows what I went through minding my own business stanning Jangjun and then getting hit in the teeth with Bomin. I wasn't looking for another maknae bias, but there he is. You think his jaw line is gorgeous? You should see his smile. I swear I feel it everywhere. My knees go weak, I get the butterflies and I can't help but to smile back. Some things I love, the choreo really reflects the story they are telling. I love how in the dance portion on the video, in the begining scenes the low angle really plays up how tall and how long their legs are and accentuates the movement with the bass. The entire thing, song, dance, video fall in to one amazing narative thats really rare to see.

That MV has a trilogy of alter ego Joochan said its the last trilogy but i'm not sure 'bout that... The First Trilogy is Wannabe And Second is Without you And the last or third is ONE (LUCID DREAM) But i'm not sure ONE is last trilogy. But, Sungyoon a.k.a Wai said he got a little spoiler cause he hold his ring on the end of mv... But i don't know it's true or not... They got the synchronize they are practice for 8 hour everyday...
