Their twitter acc was being hacked a year ago for real. It was trending and kinda became an inside joke. I love how they claimed it and twisted it into the cool concept yet very witty, very on brand, and it feels super closed to the fans, but still intriguing too for non fans. I mean the whole instagram layout changes (day version and night version). Also the whole NCIT situation was literally what fans imagine when they read their AU lol, and they decided to play it out cooly, without going overboard. just the perfect amount. members are so into the role in their personal ig acc too. the whole heart-fluttering college boyfriend look that everyone always imagine, and the twist into hot dark e-boy look lol. They embrace the frat boy allegation lol. Engineering student to professional hacker. I’m so hyped~

In case you didn’t know, on their official Instagram, during the daytime they have a “cute college boys who are a part of the coding club” layout , they even came up with NCIT (Neo Culture Institute of Technology) to make the concept authentic. They posted what classes their taking, and even club activities. Then every night, like in the teaser video, they switch the entire Instagram layout to a dark hacker theme, including their posts, stories and highlights. Their bio says “Successfully Accessed”, kind of saying that the hacking Jaehyun did in the video was successful. Even the boys interact with each other via their stories during the day as if they’re actually in college, doyoung even posted “who left the club room lights on” and they started bickering over that😂. This comeback is about to be insane, the amount of effort that has been put into teasing the concept makes me so excited for what’s to come☺️

Hi Jeff!! Nct 127 is now changing their instagram account's layout according to the day and night. They're students in NCIT in the mornings but they're some kind of hackers at night. Some people think that they're helping black mamba to hack the synk system so they're bad boys actually but we don't know yet. I just wanted to share in advance, you can see their cute chatting through ig account in the daytime but at night, they share dark vibe photos of them. It's like a social media fanfiction that the characters are actually controlled by 127's itself

I don’t know what this was but I basically interpreted it as a concept with in a concept. Because everyone’s esthetic is so different between the night and day version. It could be looked at as nerds gone bad or just different material of guys whose stereotypes they play off of, the e-boy, the hackers, the professor, the drama kings etc.

It’s speculated that each member has a specific role that coincides with their roles in nctmentary, and Jaehyun’s outfit didn’t change because he’s the main hacker that was in smcu ep 1 with ningning. Plus he’s the only one working on an old computer while everyone else uses iMacs and MacBooks. Even in the beginning, he’s listening to an old tape, and in nctmentary, a lot of old tech was used. The theoryzens are all over Twitter trying to make sense of it haha

a big part in hacking is not getting traced.. using older computers but obviously upgrading them (Mark alters them, jaehyun uses the technology to hack with ningning) can help prevent tracking back. also, it might be that the technology only exists on those old machines, since it is eventually used to control dreams and sync them (that's how ot23 and ot18 came together- by empathizing and resonating, syncing their dreams..) which is also why Johnny doesn't do much in the clips- we know from the nctmentary that he is the experimenter, while everyone sleeps he's the one to work (cue the coffee lol). we use that reference since we can see haechan with his camera in the nctmentary too, so it makes sense, kinda..

About Mark playing around with the cirquit boards and soldering irons. When I first saw this I literally shouted "MARK WTF are you doing?! Thats not how they work, omg dont do that!" I have a feeling no one in the set had ever used soldering iron and they just pushed those to Mark and told him to do something. Also dont hold cirquitboards like that. Everything else was great except all the tech stuff in the teaser and damn who codes with mac, also keyboard wihtout numpads? I would never do it, I like the numpad too much. Also Taeyongs Keyboard was soooo dirty! Did he even look at it?
