scars, a song about skz’s efforts, their determination, their experience since trainees and their beliefs of conquering bigger dreams, a song that talks about hardships of being a trainee +knowing that 3racha wrote scars at the end of 2019 makes the song hit even harder bc the end of 2019 is when skz went through the hardest time in their career:)

I heard that this song is reflecting on the difficulties of their trainee/debut days and I can really see the emotion of that in the dance,, I don't know all the members' stories but seungmin's solo with the mic makes me think of his relationship with his vocals and becoming a better singer, while bangchan is the focus of some sections because he had to support everyone and give them tough love, and I especially love the part where they make room for him at the end of the choreo because it's like him finally accepting/enjoying the achievements of all the hard work they put in. Yes, it's a continuation of the storyline. In fact, if you watch the Thunderous trailer, you'll see this is pretty much a direct followup to the events and setting in the trailer. Which makes it part of the main Korean storyline. Which is significant since a _Japanese_ release and should be part of the Japanese parallel universe...and yet, here we are. So yes, it's directly connected to the main Korean storyline _and_ connected to the Japanese parallel timeline _and_ (although I can't remember at the moment and can't figure out where I put my notes) also contains suggestions that it's tied to the more distant Mixtape storyline. Which would make this the first time all the parallel worlds have converged into one space, as far as I can recall. We've had the two main Korean timelines cross several times; the two Japanese timelines have crossed; the main Korean one even crossed with the Japanese at least once. But Scars contains all three subsets, which makes me really excited about what comes next, since the last time they did something almost as collective was Levanter, and that kicked off the new era.
