Makes me mad when people say they're born in the wrong generation because there's no good music these day. This man is living proof that good musicians are everywhere. They're just not as popular as other mainstream artists.
@houi4900
@houi4900 5 жыл бұрын
it's not like that, there are plenty of good music out there, and good artists too. it's kind of sad when u say that, cuz we are free to listen to anything that we want and almost anyone who wants to make music can do it, its a lot more democratic than it was in the past so if u think of it its one of the best eras to like music
@ericathorp1
@ericathorp1 5 жыл бұрын
Lucas Batista but the thing is, nowadays if you try to make anything other than love songs, pop or some kind of hip hop/rap, you probably won't be able to get very far. Sure, if you are already popular from making rock music in the past, your new songs will probably be recognized. However, if you are a new musician, you probably will just be seen as someone who will never make it. That's the sad truth of it. I'm sorry, but it is.
@peterlaing2537
@peterlaing2537 5 жыл бұрын
Lucas Batista I disagree. Society makes it hard for people to make the music they want to because that’s not what society wants. Herein lies the fundamental problem with saying what songs are “good” and what songs are “bad.” To you, rap and its many sub genres might be “bad,” but society clearly views it very differently. I assure you, if there is a large enough demand for it, then rock or classical or whatever will become popular and mainstream again. If you want to be successful in the music world, I believe that you have to look at it with a “supply and demand” mindset. That’s the sad truth of it I’m afraid. Then again, what do I know? I’m just a 15 year old kid with a knack for Led Zeppelin.

@@peterlaing2537 It's all so controlled because a radio station can't play what they want. They're told what to play and if they want to remain a radio station and live, They will do what they're told to do. They know if people hear a song enough times, people will like it. It's called Brain washing, It's true, They do this. Do your own research and what you will find is disgusting.

What I love about this ,is that he really made the song his own. Fit his style of play and singing perfectly! For those that don't know or care much about Prince, he was constantly changing his songs when he played live. I remember people would get upset because it wasn't exactly like the record. To me, I always looked forward to how he would rearrange his music. Sometimes it didn't work but most times it did. He believed a song wasn't ever complete and could continue working on it..

Many years ago I was watching a football game in Brussels. It was raining non stop. At halftime they played the original purple rain song and all of the 50 thousand people present at the Roi Baudoin stadium that evening started singing it. I was with a group of crazy football friends singing while drinking Belgian beer. It is one of my best ever memories specially that this song is one of my all time favorites. And you my man made me relive that wonderful evening. You're an amaxing artist! thanks for doing what you do!

Some people find something they’re good at. It can be with their hands, their minds, or their bodies. Then there are some who find what they were meant to do. Among these are some who discover both. It seems to transcend skill or talent, wrapping them in art and emotion, resulting in a synergistic arrow that goes straight to the heart. The style is simple. Perfection doesn’t need to be complicated. The mix is the basic foundations of soul and blues. Throw in a little Vai influence for flavor and what was once a few of the simplest ingredients is now magic. It’s the Elixir of Life. I watched him turn some base materials, a guitar, a sampler, a drum machine, into pure gold. This guy is a walking Philosopher’s Stone. What I hear (and see) is magic. Thanks for that
