Macho did AMAZING! With all the lights, music, unfamiliar surroundings, so many people, etc there were a lot of ways to get distracted or intimidated by and that wonderful little pony wasn't even fazed a little bit by it. He has a huge personality and clearly loves doing what he does best! I can fully understand why you are so proud of him but you should also be very proud of yourself Jesse because you did an amazing job training him and building his confidence level up to the point that you both can enjoy a show as big as this one was. Always a pleasure to watch you two work together! ❤️

Yes, Macho is adorable - even when he decided to do his own choreography! 😁🤣 Was thinking Jesse might need to plan for those moments... maybe with big signs on the huge TV screens with words in a few languages - like OOOPS! & UH OH, YIKES or Macho's Jailbreak! Maybe an emoji of Jesse crying? Work some choreography around unplanned episodes, because they will happen - so you might as well make it funny.

Jesse I was at the first show and at the one after the Volting competition. I have to tell you it was a lot of fun to see you both there. It's so amazing to see you interact with your horses and asking them to join you in a loving, fun and not authoritarian way!!! And Macho was incredible!! That turned out well. The musicians at least did quite a nice job. Enjoyed the dad dancing with his baby in one shot. I agree that showing people reality and how you work it out is better than forced/angry/tense perfection.

Jesse, I must say that as someone who showed in my teens I think that it's always great when things go perfect BUT sometimes is also really fun for an audience when a horse decides to show his personality and change things up without asking his partner first?
