I DO NOT agree with people saying instruments like these are an insult to serious musicians! On the contrary, I appreciate the freedom and portability you get by batteries, built in speakers and bluetooth MIDI. Don't know however, if Audio from, say your iPad, will work from the speakers via bluetooth as well? Also, I don't really see the use of BOTH a GO piano and GO keys, as they overlap each other. If there were more real time controllers, like pitch, modwheel, maybe some sliders and aftertouch (Numa compact 2 or E-mu shortboard shows it's possible to do at a low cost) I would go ahead and buy one of these as a portable DAW, together with my iPad. As for now, I'll stick to my Reface DX (which has the same limitations and no bluetooth MIDI though.)

Seroius kb-s will have SPLIT and LAYER. This loop-machine is more similar to the Yamaha DJX series. It is fun but not so practical.

Six years? Come on guys, it's about time for an update to make this board a touch more flexible isn't it? I've concluded that the sound quality trunces everything else in at this price point, but will we see a revised version any time soon, like early next year? A wink is a good as a nudge to a blind bat.., so Roland, wink at this comment if something is forthcoming!

One thing I hate is how the loop mixes are too loud, you have to put your instruments that you're accompanying with on full blast and even then you can still barely hear them over the obnoxiously loud loops. There's no way to change the volume of them

I have buyers remorse 😢 I wouldn’t recommend anyone buy this keyboard. It’s advertised as a looper but only plays shitty presets. Also the control keys get in the way and you’ll find you’ll switch setting mid performance and ruin what you were playing.

Sinds i have update v 2.21, my go keys start every 5 minutes automatic the funk loop demo. Is it possible to downgrade again V 1.10 ? because i can not find this version to download on the Roland support page. Tony Netherlands

I saw a video where a guy built his own loop within the keyboard. There is some record function where you can record multiple tracks. I'm trying to find more information on this. These reviews are so sketchy!

The sound is very good, but better with good headphones or through a stereo system. Yamaha PSR is a toy. The sounds of Yamaha PSR are not as bright as in roland, 128 polyphony .

You never show the A part of looping. The presets are so limiting. Changing chords is not intuitive. Every loop preset seems to play the same 3 chords. Sounds like Cake in the Ocean over and over. I am thinking of trying to sell mine, but am giving it a bit more time.

Jason inertia and the robots Actually they are! It's like playing with a small band. It's great to get into the mood for learning new chord progressions and styles. The keybed is also really fantastic for such an inexpensive instrument.
