What is Fragrance Maceration? Maceration is also known as the process of oxidising your fragrance. This enables the alcohol in your new bottle of perfume to evaporate. Often, perfume houses will macerate alcohol based scents in their factories and this is a controlled procedure carried out by themselves.

I blind bought armaf hunter an year back and I didn't like it much. Let it sit for about a month to macerate and it still didn't smell any different. I stopped applying it and tried some other perfume. But one day in the winters, about 4-5 months later when I sprayed hunter, it smelled completely different and pleasant! So I think it could take more days for some perfumes to macerate/evolve to their true potential.

❤❤❤❤ OMG I have not tried this technique ever but it happens with me coincidentally 😂 I have purchased Ustraa Basecamp and I was very disappointed by it performence and bottle I had received was also defective in the sense that it's cap was too lose I can't lift it up for millisecond also . So I put it at the last in my locker 😂😂😂 Yes basically I put all perfumes there😂😂 and after 2 months almost when I started using it , it's longevity increase 😅 I thought it was magic😂 But today on watching your video I came to know it's a good damm technique. Keeping the perfume in the fridge for a week has also helped me improve performance. It seems to also improve the quality of the fragrance a little.

It backfires mostly, when you will bring it to the normal temperature there will be dew like water on the perfume bottle, they will eventually get mixed with the perfume molecules and will ruin the performance.

For me maceration has significantly improved the quality of Bvlgari man in black. Initially when I sprayed, I got spices and tobacco only and a slight or very mild hint of iris and tonka. And i was disappointed. But after maceration, I could significantly notice iris and tonka. I did not used it at all for straight 4 months after initial 10-12 sprays.

Some perfumers suggest keeping in the fridge/freezer for a few days for maceration. I have tried it and it has worked well for me. Takes about a week in this process.

Maceration worked with my Armaf CDNIM Parfum. New bottle was giving me 4-5 hrs but after Macerating I am getting 7-8 hrs longevity. Your content is top notch 👍👍

Armaf Club De Nuit Intense Man EDT UAE version is amazing post maceration. The strong lizol lemon note disappears and there’s more of a bergamot and pineapple smoky note that is enticing!

I have done this with my new oud for glory I don't know that i get nose blind or what , for the 1st day i was getting its fragrance from the sprayed area even on 2nd day but later that it doesn't felt same . Now I'm same feeling with coastal india also . I think sometimes we get nose blind only as when i asked my friends that are they still getting my fragnance they said yes . So i would recommend that after 5-6 days if u feel that performance as per 1st day has gone down do ask your close ones that are they getting the fragnance from you.

Brother I've bought dolce n gabana light blue jiska review bhi kiya hai aapne salty see weed, m getting less projection from it. Is this normal with that plus maceration will help here also I've heard about keeping perfum in ice box in fridge too pls educate about that also.
