The thing with Perfume is even if their music isn't really your thing, it is a _ridiculous_ Ear Worm. It gets stuck in your head and does NOT. COME. OUT. Oh, and I want one of those outfits. Complete with the hair decoration. The girls look absolutely gorgeous in this MV.

I totally agree with you. I went to Japan without having any specific interest towards the country and just for exploring; and I have watched enough music shows to remember who was on it but this song is the only one I brought back with the title memorized because I need to listen to it again. Music is such a strong force!

Yasutaka Nakata. The man (or rather God) is totally in charge of the sounds & lyrics. And his music capabilities is boundless. - He also produces Kyary Pamyu Pamyu; way different style from Perfume, but still has the same ear-worm catchiness & sonifies her image to perfection.

I heard this song in the background of another video. I can't get it out. Please send help 😩
It's interesting to see a mish mash of Chinese Nightmarket settings with Indian influenced dancing.

There's more than that. Watch the signs in the market and you'll see Arabic script. There're Turkish lanters, and somewhere in the video, I forget where, there are some very South East Asian-looking statues. They're sampling from all over Asia it seems!

The different and many cultural influences we see in the video is their way of telling us that Perfume is international and has a worldwide loving fans.

Tharja Falls actually did you read the english translation to this song? it references to connecting across the world and, what i think is, a long distance relationship through a different culture. (you know, dating someone or being friends with someone from a different country) i think that's why there's so many different cultures represented in the video c:
