I must admit that I'm a huge Guerlain fan, and that started way back in the 90's with Heritage. I adore L'Homme Idéal Extreme and I recently bought L'Homme Idéal Parfum, and that's just stunning, too. The 'Intense' version is also superb. Yet another fabulous review, detailed - as always - in exactly the right way, and delivered with aplomb. And just the right amount of aplomb, too!

All in all, Guerlain is my favorite frag house, and the L'Homme Ideal line, specifically, is amazing! Extreme is my favorite in the line, my wife's favorite in the line is the EDP.

@@skip0 Not for me. I blind bought it, cause I've loved every frag in the L'Homme Ideal line I tried previously, and I actually regret getting it. Not that it's horrible, but I don't reach for it. I'll end up giving it away to someone so it' can be enjoyed.

While you're at it Mr. Hughes, you should do one other highly touted fragrance from Guerlain. I am, of course, talking about the instant classic "Tobacco Honey" by Guerlain. Absolute masterpiece. Another 10/10 fragrance. Strongly recommend that one for your review. Trust me on this one. I would never steer you wrong.

this is the only Guerlain I own and I love it. It smells luxurious and rich, I was surprised how inexpensive it is back when I bought it. I love how the bitterness of the almond fights with the sweetness

I’m so glad you like this , Aaron. It was my signature fragrance until I came across Maverick. I think they’re kind of cousins. Both fragrances are classy, elegant and so addictive. But where they differ is attitude , L’homme Ideal extreme is a lovable rogue, whereas Maverick is a bad boy in a Saville Row suit .

Amazing fragrance. I have most of the L'Homme Ideal line but this is my favorite as I love the plum note. (Also why I frequently wear ATH Oud Noir) The L'Intense has grown on me also as of late. Thanks for the review Aaron!

You should definitely try L'homme ideal EDP, Aaron. It's way classy, refined and exotic. Volume may be low as it's quite transparent but superb!

This was my 3rd or 4th fragrance bought when I was just starting to get into fragrances. There’s something in it that I’m allergic to as it turns my skin red and I start sneezing. That being said I suffer through and after about 30 minutes that reaction disappears. The scent is worth the reaction.

I know you're asking him, but IMO it's not one of the best in the line. Of course, the line is full of bangers, but still. I think if you have Extreme, EDP or L'Intense, you can pass on the Parfum.
