When you said you can refer Cuir d'Ange to Rose & Cuir, I was like-YES!!!!! (and sniffing at my wrist where I sprayed Rose & Cuir on about 8 hours ago). I remember not liking Rose & Cuir as much as I do now when I first got it. But then I shifted to play around with Cuir d'Ange for a couple of days, then took a break from both. After a week or two, I came back to Rose & Cuir, and felt like there was this sort of new leathery facet of it that I couldn't comprehend as much before... somehow haven't realized why til you said the obvious connection lol

eau noire is a beast..i like loud at times..but i got a nice sample yrs ago and it was "sealed" sitting on my desk and i could smell it in the entire room..I wore it once and was unable to "take it"...it was a hefty sample i got from the Dior boutique..but sadly i tossed it......just couldnt deal w/its loudness then.

I almost bought Beau de Jour as a Private Blend, but just couldn’t bring myself to pay that much. I’m glad you like this one...will check it out. Damn, now I want to smell Eau Noire and I know I probably never will.

How about the Narciso For Him line (EDT, EDP) compared to Antaeus for you? I think they are so in the same family and smell very alike. I keep them together for those cool days when I want a “no brained”.

I’ve been wearing Dior Homme 2020(sue me) Nishane Hacivat Imaginary Authors Telegrama / Slow Explosions Initio Oud for Greatness Tom Ford Oud Wood Have a large collection and sometimes I just like to wear something easy. Have Frédéric Malle and Kerosene frags but I like those for special occasions. Same thing with my Fort and Manles. I like your taste in classic perfumery though. Broadens my horizon.

Heading into Waikiki to bring lunch to a good friend, who is 92, and I’d like to walk into the Saks 5th Ave CHANEL boutique and get more samples. Maybe, spray the 1957 on me and wear it home.

What a travesty that the nose behind Anteaus has now succumbed to making absolute shit for the most depressing brand in perfumery. Dior has become an absolute joke. Love beau de jour, and totally agree with the 3rd man comparison. This is my favorite release in a while. Cuir D’ange is also criminally underrated
