My first fragrance idols were my parents. My father wore Jacomo de Jacomo (and does again) and my Mum wore Ralph Lauren Safari Woman. I had terrible anxiety in kindergarten and first grade, so, my Mum would spray some perfume on a tissue and stick it in my pocket to take out and smell when I was nervous. I got my first aftershave when I was 11, then at 12 my first designer

I bought Cerutti 1881 in my teens after smelling it on another girl. age36 and still love it. to me it is young, feminine, but I’ve read a lot of comments saying it’s an old lady smell which I find really odd. When I’ve worn Ralph Lauren romance, I’ve had lots of compliments and on three different occasions, men have asked me what it was and bought it for their Partners. When showing a taxi driver the bottle of it, he started spraying lots of it around his taxi. YSL Elle has been discontinued now but my boss bought that after smelling it on me.

J'adooore 🥰 I purchased one of my mum scent too, Cerutti 1881, very 90's, very nostalgic !! Also purchased white Musc from the body shop back in the day after smelling it on my cousin 😊 (still have the oil (old formulation) in my collection) One of my coworkers bought Cherry Punk after smelling it on me and another one purchased l'interdit Intense 😄...I love it, and you're so so right, best feeling ever 🤍🤍🤍

I cannot remember the name but there’s a perfume with a heme (blood) note omg! Yuck!, ADO Noir by night smells like smoked fish, Memos French leather smells like burnt rubber to me, and I can’t ignore it, the rose in this one is gorgeous. Absinthe from Ex Nihilo is good at first sniff but more than one spray on a guy is headache inducing

At a meeting once, someone asked me, "WHAT are you WEARING??" I replied, "Dior Addict" and she said, "Well, it's named appropriately!" and sniffed all over my neck. 😆 (We were great friends and it wasn't a formal meeting!) I'm not sure if she bought it for herself, though. It was the original formulation... RIP. 💐

Surprisingly, the one fragrance I wore that made people stop and ask, and eventually buy it, was CK Truth for men. I suppose the summer heat must have burnt off the harsh chemical edge CK perfumes tend to have, so that Truth ended up smelling like the most cheerful fresh-mown grass, sweetish and a bit resinous at the same time. Of course, it was back in the day before CK had gone the way of reformulation. My most recent bottle smells more like deodorant than luxury perfume. Ah well...
