Thanks for another excellent review. I'm surprisingly intrigued by this one.

I've come to like games that incorporate 'player order' into the bid/auction mix. In Pergamon, the bid for player order seems similar to "Floriferous", while the varing quantity "row offering" reminds me of an old Knizia design "King Arthur, the Card Game" (KACG). In the latter, cards are drawn until one card group reaches four, unlike Pergamon where the tile draw quantity is fixed for the round - but either way - the various sets on offer vary in quantity. Both games are similar in light weight that align with my gaming interest, although I've only played KACG, and would like to try Pergamon.

I think you covered all the salient points, it doesn't get talked about because it's an older design. Just goes to show there are some old gems out there to be had. For Sale is another good one by the same designer.

Pretty good game. I find it quite similar to Fresco, both in complexity and mechanics, but I like Fresco just a bit more.

I still own my first edition, but i haven't played it in years. I would like to but nobody ever wants to play it.

I've still got the original from 2011. I've never played it! :( I need to remedy that.
