This was crazy good! Thank you, Dr. Ginsberg. Where do you stand with menopausal women with no uterus taking bio identical progesterone cream? (In addition to biest cream.)

progesterone cream does not get into the system in any real level--it may show up in saliva but it is a very big molecule and does not move through the blood to the tissues. even without a uterus take bio -identical slow release progesterone capsule at bedtime to compliment your estrogen and it will be a game changer

I unfortunately missed the Q& A..I had so many questions! Main one was, severe insomnia, honestly tried/researched everything! Started taking menopause cream with red clover and progesterone about four months ago from Dr Barbara Hoffman (who trained under Dr John Lee) night sweats much better but when I wake up after two hours I still get heart pounding then night sweats then can’t get back to sleep. Very difficult, only slept about 4 hours since mid 30’s now about 1-2 since periods stooping I’m 54. I’m including sage tea.. would love to have a consult but understand you do not “see” out of TX patients. Thank you

if your progesterone is low then that needs to be replaced--the over the counter cream will not help enough is you are low. also in peri-menopause if your estrogen is low that will affect sleep--and it can be low even while still having cycles--do a 24 hour urine-i recommend the RHEIN labs test to see your levels
