I think it is important to make it clear that period pain is normal for some women. Not everyone has fibroids or some unknown illness if they get cramps or heavy flow. Thank you for the info though because most people do not know.

PCOS and endometriosis can also cause heavy flows as well. I have PCOS but since taking birth control, the heavy bleeding has stopped. Though there are some downsides to it, I'll keep taking it

@@Iheartpie1234 I use a nixit (menstrual disc) so no, the blood doesn't usually get that far. But I know hair can hold odor and during my period I feel like my body temp is higher and I'm more tensed up than normal. That combo can make a girl sweaty 😓.

For a healthier alternative to ginger ale is making hot ginger tea with ginger root, lemon, turmeric, black pepper, and honey. It really works for me when I start my period.

Period panties are a must! I use the reusable ones. If I eat almonds, fruits, and veggies before and during my period, I have little to no cramping. How you eat effects how you feel during your cycle.

I’ve been doing a raw fruits and veggies thang since my last period of last year and this year my first period was no pain. Normal uterine discomfort but I used to be bent over crying in pain. I was actually able to get through the work day. For right now, I’m on a pescatarian/vegetarian diet (with very little dairy cuz I like pizza 😭). And I’m gonna keep at it. I’m tired of being debilitated the first day or two of my period every month

hopefully this will help anyone reading!! the way i was taught to dispose of my pads is: take the wrapper from the new pad you’re putting on & wrap the old pad in it. in like a cigarette way, take the sticker tab from the wrapper and use it to close it.

When I say period panties changed my life! As I’ve gotten older I tried to experiment with so many things because I had very heavy periods and painful cramps. I stopped using pads and switched to organic tampons and I noticed such a decrease in pain, I also cut out caffeine during my period which helped significantly! I didn’t like the clean up of cups/discs but the ultimate game changer was in the case of any spills I had Thinx period undies and I have some for every occasion and every flow! Being a woman can be a challenge but we handle that!

YES a heated blanket and that hook massager are my GO-TOs for that time of month! I dont get cramps but i get terrible back and leg pain and sometimes hip pains. ALSO PRO TIP: theres PMS yoga here on KZbin for FREE I like to search that, and find a vid thats good for me at the time cuz every period is different.

You should look into Knix! They have very comfortable period underwear. It’s basically the same thing as the Always panties that they sell in store but way less diaper like and you just wash them and reuse every month! I’ve had mine for about 6 months. No lingering smell with a good wash!

Hey girl just a tip the brand always for the pads isn’t good .. they put chemicals to make u bleed more so u can keep buying more and more .. I would recommend either organic pads that say 100% organic or reuseable pads that u can buy on Amazon .. I use both but I recently started the reusable ones and they are amazing .. it comes with 7 of them and a bag with it ..

I’d 12/10 recommend a menstrual cup! I’ve been using mine for 4.5 years, and they’re great! The learning curve isn’t too bad and you can wear them for up to 12 hours! I’ve rarely leaked or stained anything in 4.5 years. And you can go camando 🥳 also for the carbon footprint conscious people, they last for up to 10 years! I’d recommend the Intimina Lily Cup One or Lily Cup Compact

Ever since I got a Sam's club membership last Summer I've been buying my tampons in bulk I use both tampons and pads at the same time but I use the thin always pads with wings I have to have the pads with wings. So now that I have the Sam clubs membership I buy a huge box of tampons heavy in a huge box of tampons regular. I would have bought the lite as well but they didn't have it I don't think they sell it in a huge box. I like doing it better this way because when you buy the variety pack you don't always have what you need cuz you end up using up more of some of them than the others so when I do it this way I have a surplus of what I need
