Groups from I to VII are meant for normal elements and group VIII is for transition elements. Groups from I to VII have been divided into two subgroups, while group VIII is meant for three elements REASON:- subgroups having elements possessing the same physical property and chemical properties and they are given the labels as A and B -this is Lanthanoids and Actinoids are two groups which are sub-divided into A and B.
