Periodic Embarrassment - A short film about being non-binary and being on your period.

On a seemingly normal day for non-binary teenager, Alex, horror strikes when they experience a period at school. However, the responses and the attitudes, generated by the school and the students, aren't exactly the most helpful. A silly queer comedy short film with elements of social-commentary about ignorance, self-image, respect and how society discusses periods.

This is a really good film, I love the framing and use of text messages. Ugh the use of “she’s becoming a woman💕☺️” is so real and it’s EVERYWHERE,, and then you just have to sit there and silently take it. Feel this in my bones.

as a nonbinary person with periods, i dont 100% relate to this because luckily i live in a super progressive area, but i feel for you. i hope the world stops being so misogynistic (deeming periods as dirty and gross) and is more accepting of trans people. sending love 💙

I had an embrassing moment in 9th grade I was in my afternoon class and I got my period and I wasn’t prepared and the same in 6th grade I wasn’t prepared for my period and I was embarrassed because my under pants were covered in my period blood.

As a binary person, ive never thought about this. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. Also i loved this. The format, the random screaming, the immature "EWWW" i know its serious, but i didnt find it mildly amusing.
