Periphery - Lune (Female Vocal Cover)

Highly requested song from P3! Lune is a beautiful song, too, so I thought it be fun to give it a shot. I used stems from the Periphery III: Select Difficulty stem pack for the instrumentals. This one was tricky for a couple reasons… Some parts were sooo low I had to take them up an octave. And it switches between 7/4 and 4/4. A fun challenge, though! I hope you enjoy it :)

I knew I always loved this song, it was always one of those that I would go back to on a regular basis and, thanks to the 5 weeks of HRT, 1:47 brought a few tears to my eyes. That part just jeez the emotions that are in it, and the emotion that you added on top is just overpowering in a very very good way! This cover is like all those before, perfection. You smashed it once again!

Let's gooooooooooooooooooo I think you're improving with every cover, I mean, all the Periphery covers have been fantastic, but they seem to get better and better. I feel like he slight difference in your range from Spencer's means you're able to fully belt out the notes that Spencer has to sing with like, a heady mix. Adds even more weight and impact to those moments. Awesome job, as always!

Aww thanks!!! ☺️ I’m glad you think they are getting better, I very much prefer that to the reverse haha Also, Spencer can totally powerhouse high notes without having to flip to head voice! I feel like the times he does make it more heady, it’s for style. This song isn’t the best example of that cause (before my modifications) it sits on the lower side for both me and Spencer. I do have the genetic benefit of the female larynx, but that helps with simply reaching high notes, not specifically belting them. Belt vs head voice is muscular coordination 😊 Okay, I’m done kaylene-splaining now haha. I appreciate the kind words!

Hello! My covers are full recreations of all vocal parts, and fully mixed/mastered along with the stems. If that’s not what you’re into, my videos/covers may not be your cup of tea, and there’s nothing wrong with that. Preparing a one-shot is a lot of additional practice and memorization that I just don’t have time for when it comes to cover songs. If I ever post a one-take performance, it will be something original that I’ve rehearsed many times!
