I can’t relate to what this guy’s been through- but I can say, I totally feel for him no matter what. War is a total hell and brings out the worse in us. Because no one can imagine being in combat seeing their army buddies getting killed or even killing people. Hope the dude got help in the end. Fear does things to you-but pretending you don’t have it is gonna make things worse (like it’s testing you). Only thing we gotta fear is fear itself (sometimes it’s fear of the unknown). No person would sleep peacefully after seeing lives being lost, seeing their army buddies getting killed (no matter where they’re at) or even ending lives themselves. Because if one person did-I would say THAT person is crazy.

i'll probably catch some bs over this but did he first liken soldiers to the flighty cat when the dog was encroaching? and then flip the roles: us (dog) enemy (cat)? the principle doesn't change but thats some irony right there.

First of all, these graves right here with the crosses on them aren't exactly right, and some bodies were so damaged they fell apart and had to be burned, because it doesn't long for bodies to decay and insects attack them and they moved their brothers with insects eating them and intestines falling out and HORRIBLE things.

At least in those days they tried to help troops get their head round things. Not now though.

Put the cat in a cage with some feral street cats for a year then see how it does back home.
