Peristyle Podcast - Trojans trying to regroup after the Michigan loss plus Bear social media drama

In this edition of the Peristyle Podcast hosts Ryan Abraham and Connor Morrissette (aka "Triple Double") are back in studio discussing how the Trojans are trying to move on from the heartbreaking loss to Michigan this week and looking ahead to Wisconsin for the first Big Ten game in the Coliseum.
The guys talk about what head coach Lincoln Riley had to say on Trojans Live and after Tuesday's practice plus what the offensive players talked about including Woody Marks and his amazing strip of the football that essentially kept the Trojans in the game against Michigan. They also look ahead to an important matchup against Wisconsin and talk about how the Trojans will try to get right on offense and keep the high level defensive play going against the Badgers.
If getting pushed around by Michigan's defensive front wasn't enough to light a fire under this Trojan offense, knowing former DC Alex Grinch and former starting linebacker Tackett Curtis are on the opposing sidelines should be all the motivation Miller Moss and company needs.
Outside of three plays, the USC defense played extremely well against the Wolverines and a similar effort should be enough to shut down Wisconsin who is without its starting quarterback Tyler Van Dyke.
They also give their thoughts on the Bear Alexander situation with some interesting comments on social media from his camp and former USC football players. On Tuesday Lincoln Riley said, "there's no story there," but the social media posts keep coming.

Lincoln is a good coach but he may not be as good as Sark and Kiffin. Those two seem to be better at situational play calling and recruiting. Yes he is young but he’s also coach for nearly a decade. Hopefully he will continue to get better.

Lane and Sark are more creative imo, but they're also older / wiser now, and have gotten better since they were @ SC. Both greatly benefited coaching under Saban which helped them grow and mature more than they'll probably admit.

I can sympathize with fellow Trojans feeling like the old wound/heartbreak from the decade before LR was re-opened, but bashing him is just a childish reaction. Wait until we’ve played the remaining 9 games before calling for a coaching change. FIGHT ON!!!✌️✌️✌️

Connor you stated before many times your concern about our oline and now you state we don’t have any glaring weaknesses 😂 the whole country knows our line play is our achilles heel, we haven’t had a good oline going on 15 years, that display versus UM was the worst their big 10 eyes have ever seen, and it happened in our very 1st conference game ever 😭

I can almost hear Nick Saban giving Riley a good ass-chewing for calling pass plays behind the line of scrimmage late in the 4th with the lead. Riley's a great coach, but sometimes makes odd choices. Maybe the USC AD could hire the professional ass-chewer himself as a football analyst and give Riley some pointers.

Great Job Guys! Thank You for all the excellent takes. I hope some of our SC Fans learn patience & perspective going forward regarding our coach & team.. We're getting CLOSE to a TROJANS Run of Nat. Titles with this Riley era (he's going to learn even more from Pete Carroll on Defense, Offence, Recruiting, etc. etc.)... The Team is Excited to get to Practice every day and PREPARE to WIN the next game!!! ^FightOn
