@P3AC3andL0V3101 The pink and blue bunnies? I made them on just a square peg board - you can make parts look curved if you stagger the edges.

@jellyfishcharms I got mine pierced at Claire's, but it was back in like 2001, or so. I didn't have any problems. No matter where you go, make sure you listen to their cleaning tips and don't change them until the 6 weeks (or whatever they tell you) is up.

@814girl I use a Sony HandyCam HDR-CX100. It's easy to use depending on what editing software you use. I used to use Windows Movie Maker, and it took so much extra time to convert the files... Now, I use Sony Vegas Pro 8, and it works great with that.

I turn mine to the cotton setting, which is one away from the hottest. All irons are different, but maybe a medium setting to be safe. You can always make little test pieces to try out different heats.
@SoCraftastic14 жыл бұрын
@moldycookiez It depends - if you buy a set, it comes with boards and beads, but the big tubs of beads do not. Usually any place that carries the beads also carries the boards - check out craft stores.

@IAmTheRealNickymax Yea, SarahLynnTea. It's the channel I used to put my craft videos on. There are also vlogs, music videos... Nowadays, I still upload videos of my vacations, and such.

@KitsuneFireheart Sometimes you can buy a set with pegboards and beads, but those can come with crazy shapes - like bears, horses, and cupcakes. Craft stores sell the big tubs of beads I showed as well as packs of geometric pegboards. If you can't find any, check Ebay or the Perler Bead website. You could stick a jumpring or keyring through a space (either by leaving one bead out of the design, or making a hole).

@brookealison11 If you zoom in really far on an icon, you can make it by following the colors box for box. Each time you use the smallest tool, that equals one bead. So, if you draw five black dots to make a line, you would put five black beads on to your pegboard.

@SilverWaterDragon It's not really easy to do, because you can't put the whole thing back on the pegboard once you've already ironed it. But, you can try to iron some new beads to it.

@ilovehearts309 I think I got mine at a yard sale, but you can get them from any craft store && probably WalMart and Meijer, as well.

And when you iron big perlers, watch out because they might curl (almost to a bowl shape) when they cool down! And since there are so many beads in them, some may not have melted as well as the others. You're better off separating the pegboards to iron each separately, then, when they cool down, put a cutting board on them + add a few books, or weights over so the perler doesn't curl too much. Afterwards, you can fuse the parts together with a bit more ironing.

Some people also use masking tape to iron a big perler without it actually being on a pegboard... but that's part of advanced techniques I guess. I'm just taking the perler art very seriously right now :P Very good tutorial by the way!
