great video . that blue wire , i see red wire going to Power supply but the other 2 cables are going to which screw on controller? i assuming black to ground and another in data? clk is empty? sorry cant tell on video that white wire is covering it.

I got quoted by a trim light dealer $4500 for 190 feet. Seeing Govee lights 150 feet was only $450 I don’t want to spend so much money on install

Would you know what type of light you used. Are they bullet pixel ws2811? What is the voltage?

Where is the speaker for music come from. I may have missed that info. And what is purpose of blue wire.

Speaker was my phone since I was playing the music throw the app, you can load music files or use an aux cord that also runs to a speaker. Could maybe even split the aux cord into a FM transmitter for local radio listening.

Are the trim light kits the same as govee lights?

@@Banana69999 Best I could find that you may be describing is these, amzn.to/4eTxqek, and they are similar. This Govee kit costs $300, the kit I bought a few years ago was $1800 which included 100 feet of lights and aluminum J channels, power box, CPU, all the wiring etc. I like my kit because you can't see it from the street and it keeps me under the HOA radar also. I can't speak to the quality of the govee kit but it's definitely cheaper and installation is easier.

I don’t understand how the music connects and where you would play it out of ?

You can connect via WiFi to play music from your phone and you would plug your phone into a larger speaker if you wanted to. You could also have a dedicated device near the controller that split the audio into the controller and a speamer.

I have no idea about the quality difference to be honest, I hope mine is better! 🤣 I just checked and 100ft for Govee is $300 and I paid $1900 for the DIY kit with Trimlights. Without fully reviewing I THINK mine would last longer and be more capable but I'm not sure. I do like that they are in housed in those aluminum channels which helps keep them more discreet and protected.

great job! how much would it cost to do this with an installer? approx estimate?

Probably double the price, so would have cost me $4000 for just the 100 feet installed but that was a couple of years ago, may be more now. My buddy had his whole house done for $6000, two story 2500 sq feet

TrimLightKits.com, 100 feet package of 6 inch spaced lights, aluminum, controller, power, wires etc was around $1900 with shipping

You mentioned adding power halfway through, 2 different times. Where is the power coming from for each of those locations and what did you have to do to add it to the light strings?
