It's definitely a part of the game also learning a lot of other tricks with other characters as well. If you shoot the base of caustics traps they will be disabled. If you throw one of those Japanese gravitational Stars at it it will disable anything behind the door such as caustics traps.

Been using bunker as a deathtrap since last Sunday. Let the teams run in and seal them in. Run around; rinse and repeat. You can fortify market(the only entrance will be through the roof and the artillary base. Good for securing your flank, like, really securing it.

If they acivate the trap, you can place another one literally anywhere on the door while the trap is releasing gas and the door will hold. I like to use two traps per door once I've gotten one to seal.
