sir your first question is wrong as there is mentioned only the equal proportion of each colour can make the grey colour so for 8 possible levels of each colour there will only be 8 possible shade of grey colour. Thank you sir for your teaching.

You are given 5 option of vegetables to put in salad.....you may either use only one of the vegetables (any) in salad....or 2 or 3 or 4 or all 5....if you choose to make out of only one then you have 5C1 aka 5 choices to choose from.... similarly combination schemes work....we use combination not Permutation as sequence does not matter...eg putting carrot then Tomato will give same type of salad as Tomato then carrot.
