Hi, you could also add a large 'fillet' in each internal corner of the wood frame. It would add additional surface to seal against the deck as well as reinforced the corner. Keep posting.

Burnt on the tow vehicle that I’ve been trying to get ready to tow the boat! Also gashed my forehead on the underside of the frame… the joys of DIY.

I hit the side of my head not once but twice working on the cockpit thru hull drains. Thank god I was wearing a hat or it would have made a lot bigger cut. Great job on your beautiful boat. Be careful!
