Perpendicular Mandelbrot Set Zoom, odd symmetry and disoriented Burning ship like geometry

This is the perpendicular Mandelbrot fractal. It's a bit like the regular Mandelbrot set except with a bit of a twist. The modulus function on the real part introduces non-analytic behaviour, resulting in sharp edges, disconnected branches, mirrored symmetry instead of rotational, and the compression of detail. We zoom past a heart minibrot on the real line, then close to a Burning-ship, which appears to "deskew" the detail from the start.

Your eyes get used to the zooming motion so when you look away, the sudden change in visible motion tricks your brain into thinking everything else is zooming out.
