Great work mate, good to see you embracing the cavalry. So much the H word crept in. When you finish those three boxes cavalry painting won’t bother you as much anymore. They are really nice Cavalry figures.

Thanks Lee. I only have one box of Hussars on the way. That being said I’m looking at what I have and thinking I’m short of cavalry. Could probably do with another 2 regiments. Also I don’t have any Hungarian infantry so I could probably do with a brigade of them. But do I want to add another 100 minis to the pile 🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️😂

Of course you do, isn’t that what this hobby is about? What will you do for the Hungarians, order specific Hungarian figures or just paint the trousers blue? Something I’m mulling over.

Lol. If I get them I’m just going to use the Victrix plastic and convert them. File down the buttons on the legs and a bit of green stuff to fill the gaps. Then just paint em blue.

I have read somewhere that the officers used gold but the troopers had yellow to look like gold. I can’t remember however if it was for a specific regiment or all cavalry.

I’ve just painted some skeletons for Oathmark. There’ll be a video of them coming soon and I’m waiting for my ACW epic stuff to turn up and I’ll be doing a guide on how I paint my confederate troops. No Prussian though lol. I’m all about Austrians at the moment
