Great light British Dragoon’s figures. Nice to look at. The figures are really wonderfully painted in detail. Great job! Greetings, Joachim

I think you can be proud of those Leon! They look quite nice. I don't blame you for needing to take a break from cavalry. Doing a bit of rotation sure helps burnout :)

Dan Buman thanks buddy. They’re ok I guess. Once they’re mixed in with the rest of the army they’ll look alright. Definitely taking a break from cavalry for a while.

Great work. I feel just as you do at this minute. I have these and I've only got 2 riders left to paint then base. It feels like forever when I started mine. There's always work commitments and family etc that prevent me from painting. Hopefully mine will be done this week. Like you I'm over the Cavalry and Napoleonics for the time being. I was going to paint some Polish Lancers next but decided to paint some Flames of War with my son instead, nice change. Need a break from Napoleonics lol.
@leont66wargaming315 жыл бұрын
Warpaint thanks mate. I think a complete change is probably a good idea right now. Napoleonics are a real labour of love. I do need some more French lime painting though so I can do some more scenarios. I might do something else alongside them or I have a feeling nothing will get done lol

Excellent work Leon, really like them! I'm currently painting some medieval cavalry and its an a bit of a slot despite them being pretty basic but the Dragoons have definitely inspired me to continue :)
@leont66wargaming315 жыл бұрын
On Point HQ thanks mate. I was thinking maybe Ancient Cavalry would be easier.? Numidian or Celts or something. The horses I don’t mind to much it’s the riders with these Naps that drain the will to live 😂

I do like Perry's. I can only speak for the plastic and metal ACW range, but I find them well detailed and of high quality. These look great and up to your usual standard! I have lots more to paint for my ACW project so I know what you mean. I have been doing side projects to keep the interest up. I like the music by the way!
@leont66wargaming315 жыл бұрын
Matthew Dobbs cheers buddy. Yeah I do like Perry’s I just don’t like painting cavalry lol I need to revisit my ACW at some point. I need to buy another battle in a box set at some point but I do need to put a dent in my mountain first. Keep up the good work buddy.
@gunner6785 жыл бұрын
@@leont66wargaming31 I know what you mean about cavalry. Remember the red paint and dark shade technique. It's quick, easy and gives a nice chesnut finish. I just completed a load (15) varying the shade slightly and adding the odd black or grey horse, but it gives a pleasing finish. Marksman told me about that one, it has made life so much easier. I look forward to your ACW return. Is it cheaper to get the battle in a box set?
@leont66wargaming315 жыл бұрын
Matthew Dobbs yeah I remember you mentioning it before. It’s not the horses that I find soul destroying it’s the riders. I just find them a massive pain. I’m not 100% sure if it works out cheaper for the B in a Box set but it will finish off the half units I have from the first one I bought. I’ll get it from Goblin Gaming. They do 20% off. £76 I might need one extra box of infantry I’ll end up with the following for both army 4 guns 2 commanders 6 line battalions x24 men 1 Zouave battalions x24 men 1 cavalry battalion x12 men No doubt I’ll want more lol But it’s a decent force for each side I thunk. Plus a shit load of fences and a couple of buildings
