Perrygrove Miniature Railway - Autumn Gala - 22/09/12

As with previous years, after visiting Alan Keef Ltd's open day we also visited the Perrygrove Miniature Railway for their Autumn Gala. Featuring 18 trains running from Perrygrove to Oakiron and back with normal trains running, vintage trains and goods trains utilising five different locos.
Locos running were:
- 0-6-0T 'Spirit Of Adventure' built in 1993 by the Exmoor Steam Railway
- 0-6-0T 'Ursula' built in 1999 by James Waterfield
- 2-6-2T 'Lydia' built in 2008 by Alan Keef Ltd
- 0-4-0+0-4-0 K1 Garratt built by the Bush Mill Railway
- 2-6-2T 'Fox' built in 1987 (Visiting from the Kirklees Light Railway)
Shots included:
- Ursula rolls past on the 14:00 goods from Oakiron, notice the makeshift sheep at the back.
- Lydia on the 14:00 passenger from Perrygrove, strangely this was her last service of the day and she was put to bed early.
- Ursula, Spirit Of Adventure and the K1 sat at Perrgrove.
- Ursula on the 14:20 vintage train from Perrygrove.
- Spirit Of Adventure seen through the trees on the 14:40 from Perrygrove, approaching the start of the horse shoe curve to Rookwood Station. Forgot to turn the microphone on for this bit so had to do a bit of sound dubbing, woops! Microphone now switched on, Spirit Of Adventure is seen arriving at Rookwood Station whilst Ursula passes by with the 14:40 from Oakiron and exchanges the tokens with Spirit Of Adventure. With the line now clear Spirit Of Adventure restarts her train for the next leg of her journey to Oakiron. Ursula is then seen passing through the trees on her way back to Perrygrove.
- Fox arrives into the loop at Rookwood Station with the 15:00 goods from Perrygrove, Spirit Of Adventure then arrives and exchanges tokens, Fox then continues on her merry way to Oakiron and Spirit Of Adventure is then seen galloping past to Perrygrove.
- K1 seen through the trees after leaving Perrygrove on the 15:20.
- Low angle shot of Fox as she returns with the goods through Heywood Station.
- Another low angle shot, this time of K1 as she passes through Heywood Station on the 15:20 from Perrygrove.
- Ursula passes by with the 15:40 vintage train, looking good in the sun on her way up to Rookwood Station.
- K1 exchanges tokens with Ursula at Rookwood, Ursula then carries on her journey to Oakiron, K1 is then seen passing by through the trees.
- Ursula rolls back down the gradient with the 16:00 from Oakiron.
- Fox then climbs up the gradient on the 16:00 from Perrygrove, slipping on greasy rail as she does. The crew had been told to take it easy with Fox as they'd been driving her a bit enthusiastically. They did take it easy and ended up stalling just outside the summit of the climb to Oakiron and had to be assisted by the Lister Diesel up top, of course I was unaware this had all taken place until afterwards as I was stood setup waiting for her to come back, which we see next.
- K1 climbs past with the 16:20 goods from Perrygrove.
- A few shots of Fox at Perrygrove then we see the K1 returning with the goods, the last train of the day.
A very enjoyable day indeed.
