These priests who have been kicked out will either have to got it on their own or find a secure Catholic home. There is no better place for all these good priests than the SSPX. It is within the Church and yet cannot be manipulated easily by the present hierarchy. This priest seems like a good priest. With the SSPX he and other good priests might have to travel some, but they will be secure in their ministry and we need all the good ones we can get. The SSPX is building and growing and the demand is ever greater. In Fort Wayne Indiana we of the SSPX just purchase a new church of 25,000 sq ft because we have lots of kids who need instruction. The SSPX even has a training program for all those priests who might need it.

There is also the fspx and the fssp all traditional and Latin And the fssp was approved by the Vatican and were never out of communion or excommunicated or disavowed, Not an argument here bit not everyone is comfortable with the sspx because it was in fact invalid and that is why francis said all traditional can go to the sspx so if all trads joined them they would clearly be all excommunicated through technicalities, so why put yourself there under question of validity. Francis is trying to group everyone and make them invalid, a Bishop can ordain a priest bit a Bishop can never ordain another Bishop without the consent of the Pope, therefore much is invalid and as Benedict tried to forgive and bring back sspx into the Church the sspx did not agree so there was no forgiveness and validation. The sspx never got permission. To begin with and sspx was never approved.

Boarding school was my introduction to the Mass. Both the priests and nuns were Dominican. I was received into the Church when I was 18. I was in my 80's when I found my grandmother's marriage certificate. She had been married in the Catholic Church, I know she was not Catholic therefore my grandfather was Catholic, and the Church is my heritage.

@ Kimberly Anderson - I love FSSP, also. They are very protective, I’ve noticed, of the Priests & the Fraternity. No longer are any FSSP homilies posted on their parish social networks or on channels like Complicit Clergy (whom I also appreciate). I believe he said at one time that, he left “without permission”? “before being asked to…” leave? tame his public speach? I’m Not Certain. But he chose to leave. Obviously, he is an important, good solid Priest and we need to hear his words. May Mother Mary comfort and protect him.

So much wisdom here! I’ve been reading the Bible cover to cover for the first time. God often wipes out whole populations, in the old testament, of those who don’t believe and follow Gods laws. How is it we now don’t believe this? That somehow everyone is now completely worthy to enter heaven no matter the lifestyle of belief. I know Jesus was the ultimate sacrifice to open heaven. And some things changed with His loving sacrifice.. But I don’t think it eliminated all of Gods laws... That’s my current thing I’m reflecting on.

Jenifer C, you are right, the Sacrifice of Christ opened heaven to all of us, who accept Him and His word revealed to us. Christ wants everyone to be saved, but for saving ourselves we must accept the saving sacrifice of Christ in our lives.This is through our own works according to His word. This is why Christ says in Matthew 7,21 "Not every one that saith to me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven: but he that doth the will of my Father who is in heaven, he shall enter into the kingdom of heaven" Thus not everyone is saved, because not all of us accept His saving power. Christ says in Matthew 7,13 "How narrow is the gate, and strait is the way that leadeth to life: and few there are that find it! [15] Beware of false prophets, who come to you in the clothing of sheep, but inwardly they are ravening wolves" Hope this helps and completes your belief.
